SOMETHING IN THE WATER?

A very voluptuous Jessica Simpson arrived at Marc Jacobs’ fashion week after party in NYC on Sept 8, looking a little wobbly as her mane man, Ken Paves, escorted her to the shindig. If you think Jess looks tipsy, it’s not just the bad camera angle – Ms. Simpson was reportedly a little too intoxicated at the shindig, so much so that she was asked to leave early. Save the boozing for your new country fans, Jess – they’ll be much more sympathetic to your whiskey woes than New York’s finest! Despite her unsure footing, Jess chose a well put together ‘fit, starting with her scoop neck black dress with its checkered print and flirty hem (try Betsey Johnson’s Ruffle Dress in Black or Karina Grimaldi’s Ruffle Silk Mini Dress in Black), coordinating black and tan heels, a dainty gold purse (like Carla Mancini’s Small Python Clutch in Gold), adding a dash of color with a smattering of gold and coral bangles (check out Rebecca Norman’s Bubble 5 Gem Cuff in Vermeil with a set of the Wavy Thin Bangles in Vermeil). Not the best she’s ever looked, but I definitely think this is an improvement from Jess’s latest cowgirl infused ensembles – thoughts? In other Simpson drama, Jess recently responded to harsh criticism from PETA and Pam Anderson for wearing her “Real Girls Eat Meat” tee back in June. Jess told the press, "I love animals too but I definitely eat meat. I love vegetables but I could not be a vegetarian. I wish I could but I really do like meat. And yeah, I caught a lot from that but I just wore the shirt because I thought it was funny, I didn't know that it was going to be so offensive to so many people. Oops." Doesn’t get any more classic JS blooper than that!
