SIWY ON THE SET

Taking her new role on Gossip Girl seriously, Hilary Duff was spotted hard at work on the set in NYC on August 5 wearing drool-worthy 'fits for her actress-turned-student character Olivia Burke. She's been on set all week showing off a variety of looks, and I'm happy to see Siwy denim making into onto the show. Hil's stylist started with Siwy's sexy distressed Hannah in Snowstorm skinnies paired with a loose fitting Kain Label pocket tee (try James Perse's James Pocket Tee in White) with a provocative black bra. Love the coordinating black belt (try something funky like Motif 56's Suki Horn Belt in Black) and sexy peep-toe boots, but my eyes are on her Givenchy Maxi Nightingale Bag with the optional chain strap attachment (check out Julie K's Hayley Shoulder Bag in Black Glaze or Antoinette Lee's Stella Bag in Black to get the look without breaking the bank). Talk about fierce! While I think this look suits her, I would've preferred to see a boyfriend blazer with this 'fit. Just because Hil's bigger than the other GG stars doesn't mean she has to wear baggy tees! What do you think of her curvy bod compared to the other Gossip girls? On the show, Hil is playing a famous actress looking to for a "normal" college experience at NYU in a series of episodes set to begin airing in October 4. She'll be attending the university with Blair and Dan while rooming with Vanessa so I have a feeling her NYU experience will be anything but tame! Hil was spotted chatting on set with Penn this week, so you can expect to see a few dramatic scenes starring the pair. Are you looking forward to see Hil join GG or do you wish they'd picked a more "serious" actress for the part?

Hate the jeans. It makes her look too top heavy with the top. But I love that she's gaining weight again! I prefer that to the old, anorexic looking Hilary Duff.

Hopefully she'll learn to act decently in a show like GG.
Otherwise it would seriously damage the image of the program.
