SHOW YOUR HELPING HAND

Getting down with her bootylicious self, Beyonce Knowles attended a press conference in Chicago on July 17 celebrating her "Show Your Helping Hand" partnership with Hamburger Helper and Feeding America. B is helping deliver more than $3.5 million meals to food banks across the nation, lending her voice and caring attitude for the cause. Like Beyonce, I'm all about giving back, but I just can't help looking at these Alberta Ferretti shorts and want to scream, "Oh no she di'int!" For someone who is famous for her booty, you'd think the last thing she'd want to do is accentuate it like this. I'm a fan of the new cuffed trouser shorts coming out this fall, but the elastic band hem is killing me (I prefer a more traditional look like Johnson's Satin Belt Loop Short in Black). That and the borderline cheesy lion necklace (at least Kitsch n' Kouture's Lion King Necklace has a more interesting shape), double wrap studded belt (Rough Roses' Multi Studded Belt in Black is more versatile and less gaudy), and too-tight shirred top ruins this look for me. But at least she's having fun giving back! B spoke out to the media, "Giving back was something I was taught at an early age. I truly believe that God blesses us to bless other people." Leave it up to Tina Knowles to teach philanthropy and religion! Have any of you attended B's concerts and left a few cans on the way out?
