Looking lovely in a sweeping maxi, Kate Hudson was spotted strolling through the West Village with her son Ryder on July 31. Meeting up with mama Goldie Hawn for a quick lunch at Bar Pitti, the golden girls spent the rest of their afternoon in shoe heaven at the trendy Iris boutique in the Meatpacking District. For wearing such a glamorous dress, Kate's not really bringing anything to the table with her messy tresses! Starting with a sweeping – and revealing! – halter maxi dress (check out Sue Wong's vibrant Long Handpainted Maxi Floral Dress in Ivory, Vix Swimwear's Solid Textured Halter Full Length Dress in White or Lotta Stensson's silky Long Spaghetti Dress in Whited Black), Kate stayed true to her Bohemian chic style with fringed flats and a few silver bangles circling her wrist (try layering Alex and Ani's expandable wire bangles like the Tree of Life Bangle Set in Silver). It's not a terrible look but the way her skirt is blowing it looks like she's about to have a wardrobe malfunction! Kate has been laying low this summer, spending a few weeks relaxing in Muskoka with the fam while rumors continue to swirl about her steamy romance with Alex Rodriguez. Like Lance Armstrong last summer, A-Rod was invited for a few days of golf with Kate, Goldie and Kurt Russell. Further solidifying their romance, A-Rod took Kate to the annual Yankee's Family Picnic this past weekend with his two daughters, where they were snapped smooching all over the place at the post-game picnic – not in front of the kids, Kate! Like all summer romances, I have to assume this one will sputter out before Labor Day, but what do you readers think – will Kate finally be lucky in love?
