SHOES BY SURI?

Standing tall next to her husband, Katie Holmes turns the tables and keeps a tight grip on Tom at The Cinema Society's screening of The Romantics in New York City on September 7. Now who's the possessive one? After appearing on Live with Regis and Kelly to promote the flick earlier in the day, Katie walked the red carpet in support of her latest drama, which also stars Josh Duhamel and Anna Paquin. For the informal premiere Katie paired a pretty Jason Wu black and white printed dress (try Walter's Silk Georgette Dress in Abstract Animal or Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Mesh Top Dress in Black/Grey) with a suede Holmes & Yang jacket (I think her pick is a little too casual, but I do like Aude's Mason Poplin Jacket in Carbon to top your fall looks) and black sheer tights. All good so far, but then the tan pumps come from out of nowhere. I would've ditched the tights and paired this with a dressier bootie like Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Black Embossed Python. Would any of you have even considered adding the tan touch with the black color scheme? I have to wonder if this is Suri's doing – afterall, earlier in the day Katie gave her little diva styling creds on while chatting with Regis and Kelly: “Suri’s very helpful. I ask her which shoes to wear and she picks them out! Many times, I’ll be getting ready for an event and I’ll ask her what she thinks. She goes, ‘Definitely those.’ And she won’t let me leave unless I’m wearing what she wants me to wear. She has great taste and I want to make her happy!” So at least now we all know who's calling the shots at the Cruise residence! What do you think of Katie's look, do you like the femme dress with the utility jacket or is this pairing just too all over the place?
