Not afraid to show a little skin, Jessica Simpson shows off her shapely gams in uber short shorts as she heads back to her hotel in New York City on May 6. Jess has been enjoying the warm weather over the past week, showing off her tan, toned legs in faded denim Daisy Dukes (revive the iconic look with True Religion's Bobby Cut Off in Point Dune) and sexy gladiator platforms (Rock & Republic's teetering Syler Pump in Black are a great summer selection). Love that she's not afraid to show some leg, but I hold firmly to the belief that if your pockets stick out the bottom of your shorts, they're too short. Unless the pockets are printed, that is. On top, Jessica showed her sexy side in a sheer black scoop neck tank (check out Qi New York's Sleeping Angel 3 Button Top in Black) and casual black jacket (try Monrow's super comfy Double Breasted Tuxedo Jacket in Black), carrying a gorgeous embossed tote over her arm. Jess pulled back her trademark blonde tresses to reveal silver hoop earrings (love the unique design of the Ibiza Earring in Sterling Silver from PM Designers by Pamela Minton), covering up in oversized black sunnies as she made her way around the city. Jess is in town for the 2010 Operation Smile Gala, benefiting the charity organization she has been involved with for the past few years. Before heading up to the Big Apple, Jessica attended the White House Association dinner in Washington, DC, where she mingled at the Bloomberg/Vanity Fair afterparty and happened to bump into ex-bf Tony Romo and his very pretty (and very young) new girlfriend, Candice Crawford. Supposedly it wasn't awkward when Jess bumped into the ex who dumped her on her birthday last summer, but all I can think is that a bright yellow matronly frock is definitely not what I'd want to be wearing the first time I ran into my ex and his new girlfriend! What would you do in the same situation?

yeah, that dress did her NO favors. Such a stunning girl...she needs to retain a stylist...or fire the present stylist.guest on May 11 2010 @ 09:26 AM
