Katie Holmes stepped out in LA on December 10 for a solo shopping expedition, with Tom out of town and Suri staying at the power-couple's mega mansion. Getting in the holiday spirit by wearing a festive pair of red jeans (to get in on the red jean craze, check out Pierce Jeans' Montana Pierson Slim Jean in Red Cedar or Joe's Jeans' Patch Pocket Wide Leg Jean in Scarlet), Katie also wore a black coat (like IISLI's Venice Coat in Black) and accessorized with a big brown bag, similar to Aaneta's Star Medium Bag in Cafe). While the Cruise's took in the Spice Girls' reunion concert in Vegas on Sunday, it seems that Katie also knows what to do to ensure that Tom has fun with their romantic encounters. She says to InStyle Magazine, "Tom likes me in a suit and a mini every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush. He'll say, 'You look good. I hope security's going with you.' Now that gives me attitude." Tom likes Katie in a suit? No comment. Katie goes on to say, regarding her pregnancy with Suri, "[He was] by my side the whole time. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful." How perfectly orchestrated that sounds!

I'm not at all a fan of this. Approach the tunic over jeans look with caution, and this is why. Colors are wrong and shape is wrong, take a lesson from Posh, Katie!

For sure she's got LAME stamped backwards on her forehead. What dorky ass shiny granny flats !! look like planks on those feet.
I really can't believe she hangs with the spice girls- although they have had some memorable fashion faulters as well.

I like the jeans with the flats but I don't like the bag or the cardigan thing. I also hate the hair, what the hell is up with the bob? She needs some makeup too!
