Chloë Sevigny was spotted at the release party for Derek Blasberg's "Classy" book in NYC on April 6, and was seen mingling with other guests such as Leigh Lezark throughout the evening. Wearing a gorgeous green and blue printed Proenza Schouler dress (for two similar options, check out Meghan Fabulous' Amelie Dress in Teal or Fighting Eel's Roo Tunic in Green) that she paired with black peeptoe booties (try Coye Nokes' Grace Wedge Sandal in Black) and black socks, I can still spot Chloë's red pedicure through her sheer socks! She completed her look with a few delicate rings and a black leather shoulder bag - I adore Julie K Handbags' Robin Bag in Black. What are your thoughts on CS' outfit at this event, everyone? I am a big fan of her style and love it when she gets it so right. I'm sure you heard about what a controversy it was when Chloë recently said how "awful" the last season of her show "Big Love" was, and as expected, she released an apology shortly thereafter. She said, "I feel pretty terrible. I feel like what I said was taken out of context, and the [reporter] I was speaking to was provoking me. I was in Austin [at the SXSW festival] and really exhausted and doing a press junket and I think I just... I wasn't thinking about what I was saying." You can be exhausted, but I don't really think that's any excuse! Her original comments were: "It was awful this season, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not allowed to say that! It was very telenovela. I feel like it kind of got away from itself. The whole political campaign seemed to me very far-fetched." Do you think that her apology made up for her offensive claims? Like I always say, don't bite the hand that feeds you!

Love the dress, suits her perfectly! And about her comments - maybe she was too blunt, but most commentators seemed to really agree with her. Guess she could have put it differently out of politeness, but even if it's "the hand that feeds" her, it must be disappointing to be locked into a contract when the show suddenly takes a huge dip in quality.guest on Apr 10 2010 @ 04:43 PM
