SECOND SEASON DRAMA

"The City" star Whitney Port was spotted enjoying a relaxing day (while filming the show, of course) in NYC earlier today, September 4, opting for a casual look with pops of color. Whitney started the day with a stroll around the city with a friend, then enjoyed a snack and a beverage at an outdoor cafe. For her outfit, she started with a longer pair of boyfriend shorts (check out Hudson Jeans' Boyfriend Short in El Cortez or their longer Bermuda Short in Stampede) that she then paired with a slouchy striped sweater (take your pick between Splendid's Navy Slub Stripe Cardi in White or James Perse's Boyfriend Sweater in Midnight) and a pair of dark shades. Accessory wise, Whitney grabbed a pink bag (like Kooba's Kellyn Bag with Triangle Ring in Pink) and matched a chunky turquoise necklace (if you are a fan of turquoise, peep Amy DiGregorio's Franklin Street Necklace in Gold) to a pair of green heels. While I definitely think the accessories add a level of polish to Whit's look, I'm not sure how I feel about the clothing choice, as the baggy fit of each really don't do anything for her svelte figure. Maybe since she's doing a longer, baggier short she could have worn a more body-conscious top? Just my two cents - what are your thoughts on WP's look du jour? The trailer for the second season of "The City" has recently hit the 'net (check it out here) and it seems like the new season will have all sorts of drama in store for us viewers. It seems that Kelly Cutrone is back with a vengeance in this season, and that Olivia Palermo's "holier-than-thou" attitude may just get her into some hot water. So of course I have to ask - who is excited for the premiere on September 29?
