SEASON 3 PREMIERE TONIGHT!

Leighton Meester is never one to play it safe on the red carpet, and the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was no exception. Last night, September 13, in NYC Leighton stepped on to the red carpet wearing a shimmering grey Christian Cota Fall 2009 mini dress with petal sleeves, holding a Bottega Veneta clutch and dripping in Cathy Waterman jewels. Leighton finished her look with white Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out fan heels, a tousled mane, dramatic vampy eyes and a rose pink lip. There's no question that everyone took notice of LM in her getup - but do you think she pulled it off? I think she looks great, personally, and it's not so fashion forward where people are turned off (cough cough, Lady GaGa). I will, however, commend both girls for taking risks and brushing off what others think of them. To get Leighton's look for less, start with a more casual version of her dress, like Gold Hawk's Mini Sequin Dress in White, Shumaq's Isabelle Dress in Silver, or Cake Couture's Olivia Foil Tunic in Grey, and pair with an embellished clutch and oversized, statement making earrings (like Jessica Elliot's Diamond Istanbul Earrings in Silver). For those of you "Gossip Girl" fans out there, I'm sure you are eagerly awaiting tonight's season premiere. On tonight's ep, we'll finally get to see what life is like for new couple Chuck and Blair, newly famous Serena, newly rich Dan, Jenny, and Rufus, and new couples Nate and Bree and Vanessa and Scott. Additionally, "Blair just became a fish out of water at NYU, where headband crowns no longer apply, while Jenny looks slated for a major "big fish, little pond" storyline as she takes over the Queendom at Constance." I can't wait! I just hope they give my all-time favorite character, Dorota, some major air time.

Ummm... how tall is Leighton, I wonder? And what does the Tallloving spammer mean "at her age she's still attractive.." Okay, moving on. I hate the shoes on her.
