Enjoying some vacation time after the Cannes whirlwind of press events, Eva Longoria was spotted taking a romantic stroll with her handsome hubby Tony Parker in Rome, Italy on May 26. Wearing a flirty floral mini dress (check out Tricia Fix’s Gina Cocktail Dress in Yellow Brown Daisy or keep the floral simple with Prairie New York’s Victoria Dress in Sunflower), Eva chose her favorite Girl Two Doors Down flip-flops with classic aviators and a classic Italian skinny leather tote with tanned handles and a playful tassel (similar to Carla Mancini’s Braided Handle Tote in Off-White Crocodile). What do you think of Eva’s summery ‘fit? Looking very lovey dovey while she walked hand in hand with Tony, the couple paused to smooch a few times while making their way around the city. Despite their ethnicities (Tony is French, Eva is Mexican) they both seem to enjoy the Italian Riviera as their couple vacation spot of choice. Tony might have some time off for leisure over the summer, but for Eva it’s back to work after the Season 5 finale of Desperate Housewives. Eva is reportedly looking to represent her Latin roots in a biopic about the iconic Mexican film star Maria Felix, who rose to fame in the international film world in the 1940’s. Eva recently told the press about the project: “I’d love to adapt the story of Maria Felix. I think she’s the icon of Mexican cinema, and I would love to bring her story to life. I’m very proud of being Mexican-American, so I celebrate it as much as possible.” And what a way to celebrate! Besides her film career, Maria inspired many in the art and design community and had decadent designs created exclusively for her by Christian Dior, Balenciaga and the House of Hermès. She also had extravagant pieces commissioned by Cartier that are still on display in museums today as part of the Art of Cartier Collection. Despite her international fame, she never achieved proper recognition for her talents in the US – until now! Do you think Eva would be a good fit for the role?
