Who’s that trendy new girl on the block? I’m having trouble picturing her as anything other than her annoyingly smart Harry Potter persona, but Emma Watson has grown into quite a sophisticated young lady! Attending a private dinner for Rodarte at Harvey Nichols in London on June 3, Emma worked the sidewalk like a runway as she gracefully made her way from her ride to the party. Selecting a chic frock infused with elements of rock n’ roll with a draped azure sash, tie-dye and netting skirt and a seductive sheer bodice straight off the Rodarte Spring 2009 runway, Emma paired the glamorous dress with sophisticated white and black Chanel heels from the Spring 2009 collection (if you love the look try CoutureCandy’s options like Tricia Fix’s similarly draped Angelina Cocktail Dress in Black or Prairie New York’s beautiful blue Eden Dress in Fountain or the Stone Cami Dress in Fountain). Tres chic! What do you think of the way Emma styled it versus the edgy runway look? While she looks fabulous at this event, mingling with fashionista celebs including Kate Bosworth, it’s surprising to see for her age this isn’t the only high profile fashion circle Emma runs in these days: the 19 year old star was recently named the new face of Burberry, and also had the opportunity to pose for French fashion mag Crash in a spread directed by Karl Lagerfeld. She gushed to the magazine about spending the day with the man behind Chanel, “This was a dream come true… We spent the whole day together and he can talk about anything - literature, art, science, modern culture. I was totally seduced.” When did Emma Watson stop being an awkward teen a turn into such a sophisticated little lady? I’m really quite impressed! What do you think of her transformation?
