Wearing a basic white cami (like Zoa's Logo Cami in White) with a patterned scarf (check out Alchemy's Paisley Scarf in Grey), Rihanna slipped her gams into a snug pair of skinny blue denim (similar to 7 for All Mankind's Edie Staple Jean in Peru) along with studded, strappy black heels and tons of bracelets (Jennifer Zeuner Jewelry's Ebony Wood Bead Bracelet with Hand is similar). In other RiRi news, the "Disturbia" songstress is speaking out about how she will never take drugs, based on her father's past history with crack cocaine. She says, "I've seen up close what effect those things can have. I would never want to put myself in that situation. It would be very careless and just not smart at all." It's good that she is speaking out on this issue, as many young people look up to her and what with all of the megastars constantly in the spotlight for drug use (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss, Amy Winehouse, etc.), it's a refreshing change to find someone speaking out about the negative effects!

Wearing a summery pale yellow dress (similar to Karen Zambos' Button Cuff Dress in Mustard Feathers) with a leather shoulder bag, RiRi went overboard with the jewlery (key pieces like the oversized hoops, similar to Lana Jewelry's Solar Earrings, and thick silver bangles, similar to Rachel Leigh's Snake Cuff in Silver, work well for the outfit), but I think she could have done without ALL the bracelets, rings and necklaces. Just my two cents! While we all know the "Umbrella" singer's hairstyle spawned numerous copycats around the globe, what might come as a surprise is the fact that Rihanna herself never expected this! She spoke out about her hair craze, saying, "The first time I heard people were asking for the Rihanna, it was really flattering and maybe a little strange. It caught me by surprise, but now I feel it’s a very cool thing. I don’t feel the pressure to change it up again at all. I like it, as they like it." I think when people see a new or adventurous cut that isn't the same old thing, and it works for the person they see it on, they'll be tempted to try it out for themselves. Rihanna was spotted out in West Hollywood doing some shopping yesterday, June 29, while sporting her trademark edgy style, and I have to say... these days Rihanna's nails are looking more like claws! They are just so long and practically filed to a point, I'd be scared to ever have a confrontation with RiRi- once she got her scratcher's out I'd be done for!! For her day of errands, Rihanna started with a black mini dress (Karina Grimaldi's Michael Mini Dress in Black and Qi's The Tank Dress in Black are both similar) and buckled biker boots, and accessorized with a headscarf, oversized hoops (check out Lana Jewelry's Miami Earrings), an over-the-shoulder bag and tons of bangles (I think she'd be particularly fond of Rachel Leigh's Snake Cuff in Silver). While there STILL has not been an official confirmation or denial about RiRi's romance with "Kiss Kiss" singer Chris Brown, it seems that Chris' momma might have slipped up and confirmed it for them. At the "Fire & Ice" gifting lounge for the BET Awards over the weekend, his mom, Joyce Hawkins, said, "Rihanna is the sexiest and sweetest girl Chris has ever dated." I wonder what Chris has to say about his momma's slip up?

Rihanna seen on Jun 15 2008 in Toronto, Canada. Well I guess today is the unofficial day of taking crazy celebrity outfits and making them more wearable for normal yet still hot gals. First Agyness Deyn, and now Rihanna! RiRi was spotted working it out on the red carpet of the 2008 MuchMusic Video Awards held at the Chum/City Building in Toronto, Canada on June 15, sporting what looks like some sort of patent leather-embossed police hat. Forget good girl gone bad, now it seems like Rihanna is a good cop gone bad! I would've left that thing in the costume closet, but still, somehow, Rihanna pulls it off. If you are liking her 'fit but don't want to go as over the top as she did, start with a toned-down ruffle top, like Zoa's Ruffle Short Blouse in Black, and pair with regular black leggings, like Zoa's Logo Long Leggings in Black, instead of Rihanna's latex ones. Next up, you're going to need to grab a pair of sexy (but not hookerish-looking like Ri's) black boots, and accessorize with tons of jewelry. I suggest Rachel Leigh's Buckle Bangle in Silver and Kimberly Faith's awesome Long Ribbon Earrings in Gold and Silver. Add on a hat with extreme caution- especially if you're planning on going the police route! While I personally love Rihanna's tunes, it seems that the people of Canada do as well, as Rihanna took home two MMVA trophies (pictured), for "Umbrella" and "Don't Stop The Music." Go RiRi!

Rihanna was spotted catching a flight at LAX on June 2 (just hours after a shopping trip with rumored boyfriend Chris Brown), rockin' yet another variation of her always unique nailpolish color choice- this time it's teenage mutant ninja turtle neon green! For the rest of RiRi's airport look, she started with a soft leather jacket in a delicious sand shade, and paired with a striped tank (check out Karen Zambos' version, the Tank Shirt Dress in Stripe) and straight leg denim (Kasil's Alyssa Straight Leg Jean in Atlantic is similar). On the accessories front, Rihanna grabbed a wine colored tote (Julie K Handbags' Katherine Tote in Earth is a similar color palatte yet comes with a textured snakeskin finish) along with two matching studded bracelets and of course her leopard print suitcase! Word on the street is that RiRi wants to get Amy Winehouse and Duffy to form a "feminist trio" and record a powerful anthem for her next album, saying, "How amazing would that be? We've all got three different voices, it would be brilliant. Now that would be a feminist anthem. I love Amy. I think she's great, so unique. I love her album. To steal RiRi's outfit, start with an eye-catching yellow coat, like Amberlynn's Cropped Swing Jacket in Canary, and pair with a simple black tank (I love the details of Zoa's Braided Racer Back Tank in Black). But everyone knows her best accessory was definitely her pooch Oliver! Seriously though- how adorable is this pup!! In other Ri-Ri news, it seems that she has taken an active interest in helping out deserving people, as Rihanna recently made a plea for Lisa Gershowitz Flynn, a mother from New York who has been battling leukemia and was in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. Rihanna told press, "When I heard about Lisa's plight, my heart broke." After Rihanna spoke out about this woman in desperate need of help, more that 3,000 potential donors stepped up to help. How amazing!! Hearing about celebs using their star power for good really warms my heart. Gershowitz Flynn responded to Rihanna's efforts, saying, "For Rihanna to even be thinking about helping others and putting herself out when she is so busy with her career is tremendous." You can say that again!

In all black, Rihanna began her look with a pair of knee high black leather boots (similar to Matiko Footwear's Maria Boot in Black) over a pair of shiny black leggings (check out Laura Dahl's basic Longellows Leggings in Noir). On top, Rihanna continued her look with a black tee (check out Rails' Kenna Scoop T in Black) and contemporary style black leather motorcycle jacket. Rihanna fully accessorized her look with a cheetah skin handbag (get a similar clutch with E.D.E. Studio's Hudson Clutch in Cheetah), leather braded bracelets, a black studded cuff, a gold heart necklace, plenty of bling on both her fingers and ears, and gold bangles (just like Danielle Stevens Jewelry's Alligator Bangle in Gold). Rihanna made sure to protect her eyes from the flashing paparazzi lenses with a pair of silver aviator style sunglasses (just like JeeVice Optics Crybaby II in Silver). Going for casual-chic in a flowy black satin mini (like Karen Zambos' Short Satin Dress in Black or Ecoganik's cotton version, the V Neck Babydoll Dress in Black), Ri-Ri accessorized with studded bracelets, tall black boots (similar to Matiko Footwear's Maria Boot in Black) and cross necklaces (check out Fabian y Felipe Jewelry's Dore Cross Necklace). She was also rockin' her new edgy haircut, what do you think- is it better than her previous Posh-esque bob? I'm personally loving this new style! In other Rihanna news, it seems that the rumors circulating that she is dating her record label boss Jay-Z, Beyonce's current boo, are nothing but lies. Rest easy, Beyonce, there's no truth to this one! Rihanna tells Cosmopolitan, "I felt self-conscious around him until he took me aside and said that I just had to ignore it." As far as her actual love life, she says, "It’s tough because you want to be able to talk about it and be proud. But you have to be sure of that person first. Christina Aguilera and her husband are my favorite couple because they’re in love and that’s all that matters to them.” So true, and to quote Beyonce, they're "crazy in love"!

In a long flight from NYC, Rihanna made sure to stay comfy and casual while flying. She began her look with a pair of black patent leather boots over a pair of cigarette skinny black denim (just like Deener's Highwaist Cigarette Jean in Tar). On top, Rihanna sported a crewneck heather gray sweatshirt, and she dolled up the sweatshirt with a chunky oversized gold chain, a cross necklace, and a charm gold necklace (check out Lana Jewelry's Jaguar Necklace with Diamond in Yellow Gold ). On her wrists, Rihanna edged up her looks with biker-inspired spiked cuffs and paired with vintage style sunglasses (similar to JeeVice Optics Spicy Polarized in Oyster Bronze). We can only hope that Ri-Ri made sure to get some extra sleep on the flight, what with the weekend she had coming up. Rihanna made her way throughout town hitting every Grammy party over the weekend. On Thursday, Rihanna performed at the InStyle party at Hollywood's Boulevard 3 and was later seen performing at the Salute to Fashion Grammy party with Akon. On Saturday, the four time Grammy nominated singer was spotted a Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party and later made her way to a private party to perform an acoustic session alongside Ne-Yo. On Sunday, the singer attended the Grammy awards and became one of the hot faces of the night. You would think after all of her recent success and busy schedule, Rihanna would treat herself to some rest and relaxation. However, rumor has it she is going to be headed back to the studio soon to start recording again. Phew!

There have been rumors spreading around the internet lately about Rihanna that I don't know if I buy or not; rumors that claim Rihanna and Michael Jackson have more in common than just a love of music. Allegedly, Rihanna has been using skin bleaching cream to lighten her skin! A source from Rihanna's hometown of Barbados says, "When she was a child her mother used to smear Ambi (the skin bleaching cream) on her face so that she could be lighter. And I know that whenever she comes to Barbados, one of her assistants goes to the store and pick up a fresh batch. I'm not sure if people in [the United States] know about Ambi, but it's a very big thing here in the Caribbean. But if you use it too much you get cancer so she better be careful." Yikes! Following the footsteps of our favorite Lohan, Rihanna perfected the all black chic look on Saturday. It seems everyone is wearing leather at the moment, and Rihanna is all over it here. Wearing both a pair of knee high leather boots (check out Matiko Footwear's Maria Boot in Black) and a soft leather jacket in black, Rihanna kept the rest simple with a black tank top (look at Zoa's Logo Cami in Black) and a pair of skinny black denim jeans (check out Deener's Highwaist Cigarette Jean in Tar ). Rihanna accessorized, and added shimmer to her outfit, with the gold necklaces (check out Lana Jewelry's Jaguar Necklace and Maya Brenner Designs' World Peace Necklace in Gold) around her neck. If you've been watching the news you would know that Los Angeles was not the place to be on January 5. After receiving heavy rainstorms on Friday and Saturday, many Los Angeles apartments were left flooded and mudslides occurred. You would think out of all people, Rihanna would be carrying her umbrella during the rainstorm. But for this one, she unfortunately has no umbrella-ella-ella. We hope her leather goodness wasn't damaged with all the rain.
