RELATING TO HER CHARACTER

Always on the go, Christina Aguilera exits the Milennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood after a three hour long rehearsal on April 1. Not sure if she's still learning moves for her role as a racy dancer in Burlesque or if she's got a special performance coming up, but from her disheveled hair it looks like she was giving it her all! Christina changed out of her dance clothes into a loose striped top (love the fit of Monrow's Stripe Boatneck in Shadow) with uber short shorts over standard black leggings (I've never been a fan of exposed pockets, but I love the fun print peeking out of 7 For All Mankind's BF Shorty in Liberty, paired with David Lerner's Basic Legging in Black). Christina added a little edge with a fierce Chanel studded tote, leather moto jacket (check out the unique front details on Mike & Chris' Wesley Motorcycle Jacket in Black) with a pop of red lipstick and peeptoe heels to match. It's actually more than a pop – I feel like her lips are screaming at me! Is it just me or does her pout look especially plump? Other than the heavy makeup I kind of like the rest of the look – thoughts? Christina has often spoken of her not-so-perfect childhood over the years, but I never would've guessed her painful past would inspire her to take on her role in Burlesque. She chatted with OK! magazine on how she relates to her character: “The girl I play, Ali, has a rough past – her mother dies when she’s very young and she’s been in foster homes. I could relate to that pain, growing up in an abusive household. That gave me great motivation to provoke my tears for those scenes where I had to really pour it on. I felt it deeply, to go through a lot of those things that brought up a lot of painful memories.” On the bright side, it sounds like great motivation for a stunning big screen debut – are you excited to see Christina switch gears from the sound studio to the silver screen?
