Debuting a bold new hair color in Beverly Hills last week, Jessica Alba enjoyed the last few days of summer and headed out for a mani-pedi with a pal on September 27. I'm not going to try to convince anyone Jess is looking super trendy here, but I am a little intrigued by the fresh-out-of-the-box haircolor. Let's just hope it's for her next movie! I wasn't super impressed with her going back to blonde over the summer (and from your comments, neither were most of you readers) but I definitely don't think this is the right way to go either. Wonder what kind of role calls for such a shocking shade? I think it had to have been a mistake because she was sporting a much less jarring shade while having family brunch with Cash and Honor at Griddle Café over the weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! While catching up with her friend, Jess went for an uber casual vibe in a studded charcoal tank (go edgy with Raw 7's Shredded Racerback Tank in Deep Navy) over a lacy black cami (steer away from the lingerie look with 7 for All Mankind's Tank with Lace in Onyx), black cut off shorts (go for the mid-thigh look with Pierce Jean's Key Large Trouser Short in Sailor and crop them to your desired length) and silver flip-flops. She went very classy with the accessories – a wristwatch and gorgeous cabernet quilted bag (like Linea Pelle's luxe Dylan Shoulder Bag in Purple) – but it looks like she's having a serious wardrobe malfunction in the inner thigh area. Do you think she intended to have such a hiked up hem? Rihanna wore similar shorts over the summer with a shorter front and back, except that hers was cut on the outer hem, not inner. Very peculiar! In other Alba news, Jess recently sounded off about her high school days when she was less than popular: “I was bullied so badly my dad used to have to walk me into school so I didn’t get attacked… I’d eat my lunch in the nurse’s office so I didn’t have to sit with the other girls.” How sad! Miley Cyrus and Hayden Panettiere have also recently spoken out about how hard high school for them thanks to bullies. Do you think the problem is the school or society?
