RED, BLACK AND WU

She's always a flawless fashionista, but Diane Kruger looked particularly stunning at this year's CFDA Awards held at the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center in NYC on June 15. Posing with pal Jason Wu in a fiery custom made frock from the designer himself, Diane topped the Best Dressed lists with this look. Perfectly complementing the bold red dress (try Black Halo's Bustier Detail Pleated Mini Dress in Persimmon) with a black skinny belt (try Linea Pelle's Skinny Multi Hole Hip and Waist Belt in Black) complementing the scalloped, beaded shoulder accents, Diane chose edgy bondage heels, a slender clutch (like Julie K's Sarah Clutch in Black Glaze) and a wristful of Tom Binns' Pearls in Peril bracelets (check out Alex and Ani's Joie de Vivre Expandable Wire Bangle Set in Gold) to put her signature spin on the look. I don't know what else to say except that this look is flawless – do any of you disagree? Though Diane supported her man Jason Wu, nominated for the Emerging Talent award, he didn't take home the accolades but the woman who made him famous did. Although Michelle Obama couldn't attend, she received the CFDA Board of Directors' Special Tribute award. Can't say I disagree – the First Lady has breathed fashion back into politics in a perfectly non-discriminatory way. Her favorite designers range from Wu to Michael Kors and J Crew – quite a range of styles there! Which high and low end designers do you wear together?
