Throwing back to the poorly chosen tee she wore over the summer, Jessica Simpson followed her meat loving taste buds to Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Dec 9, dining with her fearless pal Ken Paves – we all know what happened last time they grabbed a bite together! Looks like her lips are plumped up again, but this time I’m confused – what exactly is she doing to make them so puffy and turn back to normal the next day? Once upon a time I owned a lip plumping gloss from her Dessert line – I wonder if she found an old tube in her makeup bag and decided to give it a try? For her night out, Jess wore a black double breasted blazer (a singled breasted one like Signorelli’s Logo Blazer in Black is much more flattering on a busty figure) over a black and white striped top (go bolder with Signorelli’s Long Sleeve Logo Tee with Rhinestones in White), black leggings (deviant from the trend with Hudson’s versatile Alex 5 Pocket Skinny Jean in Black) and chunky black boots (try Matiko’s sleek Sienna Boot in Black). How do you feel about the angled platforms on the boots – love ‘em or leave ‘em? Wearing her hair down in loose waves that would have been lovely if not for the telltale roots, Jess carried a giant python tote and looked a bit discombobulated as she made her way into the eatery. Perhaps she’s still in a daze after signing on to tour with Rascal Flatts in 2009? This week Jessica told the press, “I can’t wait to be a part of their show and let everyone know that I do actually sing and I’m not just in tabloids.” Then she added my favorite part: “I am a very shy person, but I do believe that God has blessed me with a gift that I need to share. I always wanted to be entertaining in some way. Whether it’s cooking dinner for a best friend or [onstage], I try to do it up right.” Yet another nonsensical JS comment to add to the books… Does any of that make sense to you readers?
