QUITE AN ALLURING LADY

Flashing a mega-watt smile with more shine than her diamond bracelet and stud set, Eva Longoria had quite an evening as the guest of honor at Allure Magazine’s Cover Party held at her Hollywood restaurant, Beso on Nov 18. Though her all black ‘fit isn’t particularly exciting, I do love the unique cut of the dress and its figure hugging shape. Rocking an asymmetrical black satin dress (check out Laura Dahl’s more casual Covent Garden Dress in Noir or Black Halo’s Pleated Bodice Dress in Black) with classic black Loubs and a shiny curled coif, Eva carried a beaded black clutch (try Carla Mancini’s elegant Small Clutch in Black) and flashed a glimpse of the tiny star tattoo on her wrist as she made her way around the bash. Though she doesn’t seem like the type, the Desperate Housewives diva actually has at least half a dozen other inkings on her body. From her husband’s initials and jersey number to her wedding date and classic emblems like a Celtic cross and a star, Eva has quite a few pieces of artwork hidden on her canvas. Something else she’s hiding in this photo? A pair of trusty Spanx bodywear, which Eva accidentally flashed to the paps as she got into her car on the way home from the schmoozefest in her honor. Oops! If that’s what it takes to squeeze into a stunning strappy LBD like this, who can blame her?
