Enjoying a day out with her little girl, Katie Holmes takes Suri out for the afternoon in New York City on April 8. The mother-daughter duo picked up a parcel at the post office before heading to dinner together at Balthazar. It's not often that I agree with Katie's fashion experimentation, but I think she has a truly fresh look for spring here. KH started with a peachy embellished cami (check out Love Couture's Unchain My Heart Empire Waist Cami in Eggshell) and faded, cuffed jeans with worn in holes (try cuffing Hudson Jeans' Collin Skinny in Stephanie). Next she added a preppy tweed jacket (love The Battalion's Asymmetric Boho Jacket in White) and argyle socks, showing them off with chic Mary Jane pumps by Christian Louboutin (try Farylrobin's mod twist on the classic Mary Jane, the Geneva Leather Pump in Black). Lastly Katie carried a luscious tan handbag (very similar to Lesa Wallace's Donna Carry All in Tan) and kept her peepers covered with tinted aviators. It's a lot of look, but I love that she's daring to think outside the closet. What are your readers thoughts on this – do you think it works or is it a little too crazy?
