Leighton Meester was spotted in yet another interesting getup for New York Fashion Week, this time as she sat front row at the Proenza Schouler show on September 15. Dressed in a provocatively cropped Proenza Schouler top, Leighton added a printed high waisted skirt and a pair of Alaia boots to her ensemble. To get a toned down version of Leighton's look, check out either T by Alexander Wang's great basic Fitted Long Sleeve Top in Heather or Splendid's Vintage Whisper Crop Tee in Charcoal), and pair with a high waisted skirt, similar to Tt Collection's tulip style of the Renee Skirt in Black. Finish your look off with a deep rep lip, like Leighton, and a patterned knit bag (check out Moyna Handbags' Summer Harvest Wood Handle Bag in Turquoise). What are your thoughts on LM's look, readers - a bit too revealing? Then again, let's not forget the questionable Versus turquoise dress that Leighton wore to Fashion's Night Out, which landed her on pretty much every worst dressed list of last week (and garnered some pretty nasty comments from all of you!). Hm... I think she should have changed the top... Well, I understand that she might be trying the 80's provocative look but it doesn't look good on her. Everything else is great except the top.
