PROJECT RUNWAY HEATS UP

Keeping a low profile in Venice, CA on October 2, Christina Aguilera struts her stuff while out with her husband on Abbot Kinney last Friday night. She must have heard the criticism about her lackluster style as of late, revamping her look with a cheeky blue bra under a sheer black top (like Generra's Sheer Button Blouse in Black). Do you think the bra works with the top? I feel like the full coverage style takes away from the sexiness of the look, but maybe it'd be too racy with a more enticing cut. Christina paired the bold top with faded, distressed skinnies (try 7 for All Mankind's Roxanne in Super Vintage Nakita), studded black boots (add edge to any 'fit with Farylrobin's Valencia Heeled Ankle Boot in Grey) and a glossy black tote (CC Skye's Janey Fringe Hobo Bag in Black with Gold Fringe). Top it off with a black banded fedora and red lipstick and you have classic Christina. Do you think this ensemble works for her? For those of you enjoying the celebrity guest judges on Project Runway this season, you're in for a treat – Mamaguilera is lined up to judge this week's challenge, standing proudly with Heidi Klum on the runway in photos released earlier this week. Loving the uber straight blonde tresses! For those of you PR fans, how are you feeling about this season so far on Lifetime? I don't know about you but I'm getting sick of the ever rotating judges and their irrelevant comments or even qualifications to judge the show in the first place. For example, this week the president of Jimmy Choo was there – as The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy blog put it sarcastically, "…which would be great if this was a shoe challenge." Can't agree more – Michael and Nina, can you please stop playing musical judges every episode? I was also really shocked that only Logan got called out for his hideous pantsuit, but there were two walking down the runway – how did Nicolas escape Heidi's wrath, especially after the evil looks she was dishing him last week?
