Finding out whether or not blondes really do have more fun, a brunette Kate Hudson was spotted sipping champagne and enjoying the fesitivities at the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on May 30 in NYC. Kate recently went dark for her role in The Killer Inside Me, spotted walking on set with dark curly locks two weeks ago, and it looks like she’s keeping up the look. Do you think it suits her? Kate went the glamorous route for her day in the sun, choosing a very Marilyn Monroe-esque white belted dress (get the summery look with Cake Couture’s Bouquet Dress in White or Letarte’s pool appropriate Maya Capsleeve Tunic in White) with a floppy straw hat and uber trendy wooden heels (like Matiko Footwear’s Moira Wedge in Bone/Brown). Keeping her accessories simple, Kate completed her look with a white bag slung over her arm (opt for Carla Mancini’s more compact Clutch with Cut in Handle in Off White for summer events like this) and a white bangle on her wrist (try CC Skye’s fabulous Carson Cuff in White or a multitude of other candy coated shades). What do you think of the look? Kate looks fabulous while flirting with the photogs, but she reportedly kept a low profile once inside the event after Madonna arrived with her brood. Kate has been spotted cozying up to Alex Rodriguez over the past few weeks, and onlookers said she was noticeably absent from the VIP festivities after Madge arrived. Hmmm, trying to avoid a scene, Kate? I’m not one to jump to conclusions that Kate is dating another athlete (after all, she is quite the sports fan) but Kate has been spotted a couple of times this week cheering A-Rod on at Yankee Stadium, and it doesn’t seem like she would be hiding if she wasn’t guilty of something!
