Forget my previous comments this week about Jessica Alba's mediocre style – she's proving she can do day to night just right this week at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival Party at the W Hollywood Hotel in LA on March 23. Earlier in the day Jess was spotted running errands in a laidback biker inspired 'fit, but she certainly cleaned up nice to hit up the W's evening soiree. Jess walked the red carpet in a brightly patterned Proenza Schouler mini dress (add some color to your spring wardrobe with Single Dress' Rocker Tank Dress in Purple or Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Sweetheart Ruffle Dress in Multi) with rad laced heels from the same collection (add your own unique flair with Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Sabbia Embossed Python). Jess let the dress speak for itself and added a shiny gold cuff (like CC Skye's Chloe Lock Bracelet in Gold) and a neutral clutch (Zambos and Siega's Peggy Clutch in Stone is a flawless find) to balance the bold frock. I'm not completely sold on the accessories, but I love the unique print and colors of the dress I barely notice anything else. What do you readers think of Jess's straight off the runway attire? Since settling down with her husband and baby Honor, Jess has taken a big interest in politics, jetting off to Washington DC last year to attend the Clinton Global Initiative to discuss her education concerns. Since getting involved with ONE in the fall, Jess traveled to Senegal and Ghana to see first hand the impact of education on children there. She blogged about her experience on the org's website: "I’ve wanted to travel to Africa my whole life and when offered the opportunity to listen and learn alongside ONE, it was a once in a lifetime chance that I couldn’t pass up." Jess wrote a full blog post on her African adventures, designed to raise awareness about poverty and education a few months ahead of the South Africa hosted 2010 World Cup. Jess spoke about how much hope she has for the program to succeed: "Not only is this going to be a tournament to remember, but the lasting legacy of this World Cup will be education for all." I can't help but feel a little inspired! Read about the rest of Jessica's travels here to get involved.
