ON THE 9 TO 5 GRIND

Leaving her trademark quirky clothing at home, Katy Perry is looking sharp while arriving for a meeting at an office building in LA on March 25. KP dressed for success in a charcoal fitted dress (try The Battalion's Dakota in Slate or Black Halo's Debra Mini in Taupe) covered with a black leather jacket (love the texture mixing on Alice + Olivia's Alex Crop Blazer in Black). Katy kept it conservative with black tights and a classic quilted Chanel bag (stand out with Lesa Wallace's Bond Bag in Black), adding a racy element with charcoal lace up boots (play up the fabric mixing with Farylrobin's Felicia Flat Boot in Grey). Katy clipped back her raven tresses and carried a business planner along with her, really giving off an uber professional vibe! Minus the whole knee high boots of course. What do you think of KP's 9 to 5 style? I'm curious to know what sort of meeting she was going into dressed so conservatively, definitely surpassing any dress code to meet with record execs to chat about her upcoming sophomore album. At the Kids' Choice Awards this weekend, Katy chatted with MTV about how excited she is to unveil her new sound, and get back to the more important things in life: like planning her wedding to Russell Brand! KP joked with the press that he's already taken the reins: "He's a total bridezilla. He's like a freak, man. You should see — he's always, like, buying bride magazines. Every time we go out for breakfast he's like, 'Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?'" Somehow I just can't imagine it!
