NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK

Continuing her grueling filming schedule in Melbourne, Australia, Katie Holmes gets a visit from Tom and Suri on August 14. First things first: what in the world is Suri wearing?! Maybe Tom let her dress herself to meet mom? Scratch that, Tom is too much of a control freak to let either of his ladies be that daring. I'm at a loss here – how would you caption this 'fit? As for Katie's style here, it's winter in Melbourne so that explains the mismatched scarf and stripe tunic (I would pair Ella Moss’ Laurel Dress in Mediterranean with A Graves’ more interesting printed Unicorn Scarf in Blue) with standard comfy leggings (Splendid’s Long Leggings in Black are a steal), but I think boots would be cuter than the metallic flats she's got going on. For the finishing touch, a cropped leather jacket like Mike & Chris Rex Leather Hoody in Charcoal or the Belushi Leather Jacket in Light Sienna will keep you warm and stylish in chilly climates across the globe. Katie has been sticking to a rigid filming schedule for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark with a small break for her Judy Garland tribute on "So You Think You Can Dance?" last month. It's funny how you can always tell she's working by her face – is it just me or is she looking gaunt again like she during her Broadway run in NY last winter? Otherwise she's looking very healthy – one might even say her legs are looking a little bigger than usual! What do you readers think?
