Lucky to have caught a flight to Europe in time for the Cannes festivities, Hayden Panettiere tears it up on the red carpet of the World Music Awards on May 18 in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It seems like odd timing to have a music ceremony clashing with the dozens of Cannes film premieres and events, but I'd like to know why someone also thought it would be a great idea to have 2 actresses who have no musical talent to host the event. Go figure! Regardless of the interesting selection, HP sizzled on the red carpet in a ferocious Emilio Pucci leopard print mini with an asymmetrical shoulder detail (heat up the night in Wit's Banded Animal Print Party Dress in Blue Animal or Wish's Calligraphic Blouse in Black) with gold peeptoe heels (love the boa texture of Coye Nokes' Grace D'Orsay in Gold) and a matching clutch (shine on with Whiting & Davis' Shirred Frame Clutch in Gold). Keeping up with her mature style, Hayden swept her hair back into a twist and complemented the look with smoky eyes and bronze cheeks. She seems to be straying dangerously close to her old sausage mini ways, but I think the sleeves help to balance this racy look. What are your thoughts, is it too cheeky or is Hayden still continuing on her recent grown-up style path? Hayden was one of the lucky aforementioned actresses to host the event, joined by Michelle Rodriguez at the podium. Even if it is a little random, all I have to say is that at least someone is giving HP some love! After starring in Heroes for four seasons, CW announced last week the show is officially canceled. Bummer for Hayden! They also announced which new shows will be premiering in the fall, and HP's hopeful CW pilot, HMS, sadly wasn't one of the lucky ones chosen. Now that her cheerleading days are officially behind her, I wonder what Hayden's next step will be?
