Jessica Simpson takes a night time stroll in NYC after jetting east on a flight from LAX earlier in the day on September 6. Jess ended her Labor Day weekend festivities with a dinner in the Big Apple, arriving at the eatery in a casual black and white ensemble. Jessica started with booty flattering bootcut jeans (like Hudson Jeans' Signature Boot in Buckingham) with spiky pumps peeking out of the bottom, adding a low cut black tank (similar to PGD Style's Pleated Tunic in Black) topped with a black and white tweed jacket (love the unique detail of The Battalion's Asymmetric Boho Jacket in White). Jess carried a quilted black tote (love Linea Pelle's new Perry Woven Tote in Black) and finished the look with a classy pair of stud earrings (add a unique twist with Amrita Singh's ornate Kanesh Earring in Gold/Silver). What do you think of Jessica's NYC style? I'm loving the jacket but the boxy cut is making her looking wider than she is, coupled with the light colored jeans I can already hear critics ripping her apart for gaining a few pounds. After years of media scrutiny over her weight, Jess has finally come to terms with her body: “We all obsess over looking like the perfect Barbie type, and that’s not always what’s beautiful. It’s about making peace with yourself.” She continued candidly: "I have a white girl booty. I don't have a big butt. I'd rather have a happy medium and take some off my chest and put it towards my butt so I could balance out a bit." In a perfect world, Barbie girl!

i think she looks fine...lets be honest though she could shed 5-10lbs. but as long as she is happy who are we to judge? she is a beautiful girl with a fantastic eye for fashion. lets remember she IS raking in 500 million a year with her fashion line folks! not too shabby! i think she looks fab in this pic. the long top and cropped tweed jacket are flattering, and the ripped jeans give it an edge. of course a DIOR bag to top it off is just dandy as well! love. -OGguest on Sep 11 2010 @ 11:07 AM
