All weight issues aside, Nicky's outfit is like the quintessentially cool, casual, delightful spring outfit. She started with a pair of short denim shorts (I love the refreshing wash of Joe's Jeans' Braided 5 Pocket Shorts in Berkley) and paired with a basic white tank (like Laura Dahl's Racerback Tank in White) and black flip flops. Nicky accessorized with a swank Valentino bag (for a bag similar in shape but much more (relatively) affordable, check out Julie K Handbags' Jules Weekender Tote in Ocean Exotic), aviators and various necklaces (Castaway Jewelry's Acrylic Bauble Necklace in Gold is similar to the necklace that is highest on Nicky's neck). While it's pretty much common sense that every young starlet in Hollywood loves Marilyn Monroe, it has just been revealed that Kathy Hilton took Nicky's love to the next level, and purchased an original Bert Stern photograph for Nicky when she moved into her current home. Kathy says, "When she moved into her new house I gave her the signed Bert Stern shot. Nicky was delighted. We're all big fans of Marilyn Monroe. I own a couple of Murray Garrett shots of her. She's a phenomenon, mesmerising and she's still so popular. She's bigger than ever." How cool to have an original Marilyn snap!

Nicky Hilton was seen indulging in a little retail therapy at Barney's New York in Beverly Hills on March 31, but seemed a little late for Easter with that pastel color palate she's got goin' on. From the hot pink satin ballerina flats to the seafoam Balenciaga to the sky blue Hermes belt and matching ceramic bangle, Nicky is going all out on the pastels! The rest of her outfit was a little more basic (thank goodness), and included a plain white v-neck (the intricate details on Raw 7's Embroidered Eagle V-Neck Tee in Ivory punches up the basic v-neck) with vintage wash cropped skinnies (like James Jeans' Alex Skinny Zip Crop Jean in Vintage) and a delicate silver hoop necklace (similar to Michele Michel Jewelry's Hammered Hoop Necklace in Silver). Since it seems like everyone is up in arms about how scary skinny N.Hil has gotten, her trainer, Teddy Bass, is defending the slim starlet. Teddy says, "she's OK. I know she's been pretty stressed out. She's just bought a house and had to move and she just had her Nicholai fashion show at L.A. Fashion Week. She's also really happy at the moment. Nicky Hilton was spotted doing some shopping on Melrose and chatting on her BlackBerry on March 13, and it seems that the affinity for matchy-matchy accessories is not only a Paris trait, but a genetic Hilton trait that all of the Hilton ladies share! Nicky got a little wild and crazy with the hot pink (matching scarf and pumps), but at least she didn't go the whole nine yards and do a matching bag, bracelet and sunglasses, like I'm sure sister P would have. For the rest of her outfit, Nicky stuck to all black, starting with a pair of black skinnies (like Deener's High Waist Cigarette Jean in Tar). Next up was a long black tunic (check out Ziji's luxurious silk Alice Tunic in Black) and a cropped leather motorcycle jacket, followed by accessories such as a big silver watch, silver bangles (like Mickey Lynn's Hammered Bangle with Mini Fleur de Lis) and an oversized black back (Carla Mancini's Double Handle Bag in Black is similar). While I'm sure many of you saw the pictures a while back of Nicky looking extremely gaunt while on a shopping trip to the Christian Louboutin store, Nicky swears that she does not have an eating disorder. Hilton claims bad angles are the culprit, saying, "There's no truth to any starvation or eating disorder rumors. I think the press has been printing a lot of pictures of me from unflattering angles. My friends see the pictures and they're like, 'Oh my god, are you OK?' And then they see me, and they're like 'Oh ... ' It's really not that interesting or true." Nicky Hilton was spotted outside of the Christian Louboutin store in Beverly Hills on February 28, and sparked an internet brouhaha over how shockingly skinny she looks. What do you think, has Nicky reached truly skeletal proportions, or is it just a bad angle? I'm still undecided... in the meantime, I'll get down to her 'fit. Nicky started with American Apparel's classic grey v-neck tee and topped it off with a black vest (check out Johnson's Frank Vest in Cotton), then slipped into a pair of denim shorts (Pierce Jeans' Hampton City Shorts in Dark Wash are darker than Nicky's, but still have classic detailing). Accessories? Hilton picked a monogrammed Goyard tote and casual black flip flops, along with a standout pair of red shades (check out JeeVice Optics' Dishy Sunglasses in Red). It seems that Nicky has apparently banned Paris from coming over to her newly re-designed home, as she playfully told InStyle Magazine that Paris "isn't allowed to come over if she copies me. I don't want my house to look like a page you see in a catalogue. I like drama when it comes to design." I have to say, Nicky's home is insane and she spent a lot of time on it, and if Paris copies her style... that's just not right.

Nicky Hilton did her post-show walk down the runway at her line Chick by Nicky Hilton's fashion show at LA Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Culver City on October 14, waving to the audience, grinning from ear to ear and carrying a bouquet of roses given to her by beau David Katzenberg. Wearing a playful little white dress with a high heel pattern (Laura Dahl's Edie Dress in White and Zoa's Carrie Bubble Dress are similar... but sans the heels), white Loubou peeptoes and a white bangle (like Rachel Leigh's Clearly Bangle in White), Nicky worked it out as she strutted down the runway. Of her newest collection, Nicky said that her inspiration was "Disney Princess-inspired" and that the clothes are "very fun", and it seems the audience agreed; the show had one of the warmest receptions of any during LA Fashion Week. Nicky's boy-toy, David, spoke out about how proud he was of the working heiress, and said that he's "very proud of her. She worked hard on it." After he presented Miss Hilton with her roses, he exclaimed how very impressed he was. So cute! Mama and Papa Hilton were also in attendance, saying that "Nicky is so passionate about her fashion. In black cuffed shorts (just like Johnson's Millicent Wool Shorts in Black) with a white cami (similar to Laura Dahl's Camisole in Winter White), Nicky accessorized with black aviators, a black Hermes belt and black ballet flats (like Matiko Footwear's Juliette Ballet Flats in Black). Hot off the warm reception of her new clothing line, Nicholai (Nicky's full name), at New York Fashion Week, Nicky has been serious about becoming a respected fashion designer. "Hip-hop mogul" Russel Simmons said that Nicky "has been very dedicated for all these years. I think for her it's a real passion. She's seriously invested her time." The collection was a mix of funky casual and girlishly flirty outfits, bandeau bikinis, evening gowns and vibrantly colored dresses. The Associated Press said that Nicky "managed to take each piece in her collection upscale, adding accents such as a chain belt to a romper and making a pair of those signature mini-shorts sparkle with silver. The 23-year-old fashionista even added chain embroidery to an emerald jersey dress." It seems like Nicky really poured her heart into this collection, and it shows!

Rumors are now circulating that Nicky and David are taking a step further in their relationship, and that the two are considering getting engaged! The duo has been dating for nearly a year, and a friend of Nicky's told Star Magazine (right, because true friends always talk to Star) that David has "really proven to be her rock in the past few months, standing by her side as her sister Paris went to jail and the family had to deal with a lot of criticism." Looking breezy and (dare I say it) stylish, Nicky looks perfectly ready for a casual day of summer shopping. Wearing denim shorts (check out Freedom of Choice's Captain Shorts, they aren't your run-of-the-mill jean shorts) with a white tank with lace detailing (Bellekat's Linnie Tank is similar, and Woo's Cate Dress is like a dress version of Nicky's tank) and a funky pearl necklace, one thing was for sure: Nicky's killer legs were on full display! Also on full display was the fact that she was shopping solo, without bringing sis Paris along for some company. There have been many reports lately that Nicky is growing more and more impatient with Paris' irresponsibility and the fact that she gets all of the media attention, and is starting to do what she can do avoid her sister. Sources that are close to the Hiltons have said that "Nicky’s fed up. She’s sort of lived in Paris’ shadow her whole life, but seeing Paris treated like a coddled baby just because she was sent to prison is too much." The source says that even Paris is noticing a change in her sister's behavior, and when people ask her why she hasn't been spending as much time with Nicky, Paris says simply "whatever – Nicky is doing her own thing.” Now while all of this may or may not be true, one thing is for sure- the girls put aside whatever differences they were having by going to dinner at Koi on Wednesday night. As Nicky Hilton enjoyed a leisurely day of shopping and canoodling with her boyfriend in Malibu on June 11, there were definitely other things on her mind. Clad in a white cami and white Gucci shorts (Deener's Sloucher Shorts are similar and a lot less pricey), Nicky kept her look casual in Tom Ford's Farrah sunglasses. After details of her much publicized visit to Paris' jail cell exploded to all of the press outlets, Paris' mom Kathy added to the flames by telling People that Nicky was left "in hysterics" after their visit. Nicky went on to say that visiting Paris was "right out of the movies ... the glass partition, the orange jumpsuit. Everything." While some may think that Nicky's spirit was broken upon meeting Paris in this state, she definitely had some fighting words for L.A. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, saying, and I quote, "[Paris is] not in jail for DUI. That's a big misconception. She's in jail for driving on a suspended license, just like the D.A.'s wife was." Pa-pow! She packs a punch. Well look on the bright side, Nicky, Paris' release date is fast approaching.

During Sunday's visiting hours, it seemed that the only two people Paris Hilton wanted to see were her sister, Nicky Hilton, and off-again on-again boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos. Dressed in a casual white dress with lace accents (similar to Walter's Antique Lace Combo Dress, with both front and back lace detailing) and white sling-back wedges, Nicky and Stav didn't seem to be a hit with the other guests visiting various inmates. They complained that while they had to wait upwards to 3 hours to see their loved ones, Nicky and Stavros breezed on by and waltzed right into the medical jail. Apparently, this was because the privileged duo came during a break from the regular schedule of visiting, on behalf of Paris' "special needs". As they left their visit, Nicky told the paparazzi that Paris is "being strong", and it seems that she is right, as new details of Paris' stay have been revealed to the public. According to TMZ, Paris' "medical condition" was ADD, and she was not allowed to take all of her medication while she was at Lynwood, thus triggering severe panic attacks. This is part of the reason why she is going to remain at the Twin Towers medical jail, and not be forced to go back to Lynwood. It's been reported that she is "writing down her thoughts" and "losing weight", in addition to calling in to Barbara Walters for a little chat. Seems that the Paris we all knew and loved/hated is going to be no more when she is released, as Paris told Barbara that she "used to act dumb, it was an act and that act is no longer cute. I do not want to be that person for the young girls that looked up to me. I am 26 and it's a different time. God has given me this new chance. My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that's why I was sent to jail." I'll believe it when I see it.

As Nicky and Paris Hilton do some damage shopping in Hollywood on November 8, Paris is seen apparently kissing another all-black-wearing punk rocker. What, was Travis Barker not enough? Due to a new tell-all expose House of Hilton, written by Jerry Oppenheimer, some of the Hilton family's darkest secrets are about to see the light, but whether or not there's truth to what is published is debatable. In the book, Oppenheimer says that Rick and Kathy Hilton didn't mind that practically everyone in the world saw their daughter Paris in her infamous explicit sex tape. The author says that Kathy is even proud of the tape, because in a way, it launched Paris to international superstardom. Twisted! Sources also tell us that Kathy may be the reason Paris is so overexposed, due to how when Paris was young, Kathy would encourage her to go out to clubs and would put makeup on her. This explains so much!

While Nicky is dressed cute in a pair of James Jeans and a military blazer, Paris looks like she's a Japanese tourist with her Harajuku Lovers tank, J Brand pencil jeans and sister Nicky's neon green disaster of a handbag. I know Nicky is the boring sister, but it might help to snag some style tips from her, P!

Nicky Hilton is seen here trudging away from an appointment with her hairstylist at a salon in Los Angeles on October 21, but I have to ask, if this is what her hair looks like after a trip to the salon, what did it look like before?! Maybe Nicky's bedraggled appearance is reflecting her recent split with boyfriend of two years, Entourage star Kevin Connolly. Rumors swirled that Kevin cheated on Nicky when she was in New York with a student at the University of Southern California, who denied that a hookup with Kevin ever occurred. Kevin obviously denied it also, but Nicky was determined to get to the bottom of this sticky situation. She called the girl and tricked her into fessing up by saying that she "didn't care that Kevin cheated, that they had broken up". Boy oh boy, who knew Nicky was such a sneaky little detective! She's giving Nancy Drew a run for her money!

I will say that Nicky's one saving grace in this escape from the salon is her pair of supercool Tom Ford Farrah Sunglasses with Olive Frames that are just big enough to hide from the paps in.

Nicky strutted her stuff on September 7 wearing a pair of skintight J Brand 12 Inch Pencil Leg Jeans in Gray that definitely left nothing to the imagination. Going for the leather look, Nicky wore a funky leather jacket, like our Joe's Jeans Leather Jacket with a black leather bag, like our Kooba Handbags Scarlett Bag in Black Embossed. Let's just say with a booty like that, she could be one of Beyonce's backup dancers!

I rarely say this about anyone, because let's face it blondes have more fun, but I really think Nicky Hilton should go back to the dark haired look. It really complemented her coloring and made her eyes pop. The blonde kind of washes her out, but when she wears black clothing it makes it a little better. Also a fan of popular shorts brand Johnson, Nicky steps out for a night at a club in Johnson shorts similar to the Millicent Brocade Shorts in Tommy that we carry. Take it from me, Nic, let Paris be the blonde Hilton of the family, and set yourself apart from the rest of Hollywood's bottle blondes.

While older sister Paris has been busy promoting her upcoming album, Nicky is hard at work as always with her clothing line, Chick, as well as designing her handbag collection. However, Nicky always finds time to hit the town, and in this flirty minidress, she might actually steal the spotlight from Paris for 5 minutes.

She might not know best, however, when it comes to her interviewing abilities. When she appeared on Letterman this week, Dave was awkwardly trying to get something, anything, out of the heiress, who told some yawn-worthy story about borrowing her mom's jewelry or something. There's no doubt who the more boring Hilton is!
