MOVING TO THE BIG EASY?

Making a stunning appearance on the red carpet of the Critic’s Choice Awards, Angelina Jolie attended the event in Santa Monica on January 8, looking picture perfect with Brad Pitt at her side. Both halves of Brangelina were up for awards for their work in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Changeling, but neither took home the honors this time. Angie’s sweeping Max Azria dress was a hit among fashionistas, but I’m not sure the draping one shouldered frock really does it for me. The high slit and long train throw me off too. The look is certainly elegant, but it’s almost so simple that the overall effect is dull rather than breathtaking. What do you think of Angie’s silhouette? Wearing her favorite peep-toe Stuart Weitzman heels in a coordinating icy hue, Angie carried a boxy clutch by Herve Leger for Max Azria. Again, I want to love the clutch but I’m not sure if I do – is it just me or does it kind of remind you of a sunglasses case? Though we all know Angelina loves spending time abroad, rumor has it Brangelina may soon relocate to New Orleans. The power couple recently renovated a 19th century mansion in the French Quarter, and have been raving to the press about how much they love spending time in the city. Angie says even the children are thrilled about the move: “They love the school and their friends here. Most of all they love Verti Marte. Their favorite thing to do is go down there. But for all of us, we just come here and feel at home. We’ve made some great friends. This is the place we feel combines all the culture we love.” It does seem like the eclectic Brangelina clan would fit right in amongst New Orleans’ multicultural setting.
