Looking more casually put-together than she has in awhile, Katie Holmes took a break from her busy Broadway rehearsal schedule and took her adorable daughter Suri to the park on Sunday afternoon, August 17. Katie looked like a picture-perfect mom in her crisp white button down (check out Gold Hawk’s ultra feminine version, the Eyelet Front Blouse in Pure White), dark straight leg jeans (see Denim of Virtue’s Justice Flap Pocket Straight Leg in Midnight for a similar staple), sunny yellow t-strap sandals (though not the same fun hue, I love Matiko’s Katia Sandal in White), square brown shades with gold accents (like JeeVice’s Sassy in Brown Fade), and a trendy oversized python tote doubling as a diaper bag (snake lovers, see Carla Mancini’s Tote with Front Tassel in Python/Black). Even the cropped coif looks refreshingly chic, no? Over the past few weeks, TomKat have been settling into the Big Apple, snapped constantly jetting around the city in between Katie’s stressful schedule prepping for her Broadway debut. In regards to the stage, rumors have been circulating that ticket sales are much, much lower than expected for Katie’s Oct 16 – Jan 11 stint in All My Sons, but the production’s publicist insists it’s simply not true. Critic’s theories are that Katie’s former fans are yearning to see beloved Joey Potter again, but I have a feeling the Eli Stone episode guest starring Katie as a singing dancing attorney will boost sales after it airs on October 21.
