Leighton Meester (in my mind) absolutely knocked it out of the park last night, May 31, at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards held at the the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City. In a cut-out, sheer, bondage-esque figure hugging Emilio De La Morena dress (for more wearable and affordable options, start with Gold Hawk's Sheer Cape Dress in Navy, and also check out LaROK's Sweetie Dress in Black and Autumn Cashmere's Sequin Halter Dress in Black) with Brian Atwood's purple suede "Brie" booties and Cathy Waterman jewelry (for a similar statement making bracelet, try Jessica Elliot's Open Clover Cuff in Sterling Silver). Leighton kept her lightened locks and a casual updo and opted for a light pink lip with a seductive, smokey eye. She is absolutely glowing! What do you think, CC readers... are you as into this look as I am? Seems to me that lately, Ms. Waldorf can do no wrong. Message boards are already ablaze with bloggers and commenters declaring Leighton's ensemble as one of the night's best, saying that her getup would definitely make Blair Waldorf (and her signature headbands) blush. I can agree with that statement! I think that the LA weather is definitely in agreement with Ms. Meester, as she has been on the west coast for a little under a month filming her newest movie, The Roommate. The flick is being described as "a psychological thriller about a deranged college freshman, Rebecca (Leighton Meester), who becomes dangerously obsessed with her new roommate, Sara (Minka Kelly)." Sounds like a modern day Single White Female... can't wait!
