Michelle Ingrid Williams (born September 9, 1980) is an American actress. After starting her career with television guest appearances in the early 1990s, Williams achieved recognition for her role as Jen Lindley on the WB television teen drama Dawson's Creek, which she played from 1998 to 2003. Williams graduated to full-length features including Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, her first mainstream film, Dick (1999), a comedy, and Prozac Nation (2001). From the 2000s, Williams appeared primarily in dramatic independent films, for which she has received critical acclaim. A career highlight was 2005's controversial movie Brokeback Mountain, about a homosexual relationship in the 1960s, which earned Williams a Best Supporting Actress nomination from the Academy Awards. She followed this with I'm Not There (2007), Synecdoche, New York (2008) and Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island (2010). Williams's performance as a drifter in 2008's Wendy and Lucy earned her critical praise and her work opposite Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine (2010) received another Academy Award nomination, this time for Best Actress. Upcoming films include playing Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn (2011) and the 2013 3-D Oz: The Great and Powerful. Williams had a high-profile relationship with actor and Brokeback Mountain co-star Heath Ledger. Before separating in 2007, they had one child together: a daughter named Matilda Rose, born October 28, 2005.

Michelle Williams seen on Jan 30 2012 in New York, NY. Michelle Williams was caught by the paparazzi as she made her way through JFK Airport in NYC on January 30, flying in from LA and her appearance at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards the night before. Outfit wise, Michelle chose a printed dress (for two similar options, check out Splendid's Polka Dot Dress in Black or Joie's Carlina Dress in Caviar) and a cozy coat (for a similar coat in a mustard color, try Nanette Lepore's In The Clouds Jacket in Gold), along with a pair of black tights and grey boots. A pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers and a black leather bag (check out Julie K Handbags' Brie in Black) completed her ensemble. Is this something you would wear to the airport, everyone? Michelle recently spoke out about her future plans post-awards season (Michelle has been nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn), saying that she has no movie projects in the works. What will she be doing with all of her free time, you ask? "I just want to go back to being a mom for a while." Michelle also spoke out about how she wished that her daughter Matilda had a sibling, saying: "I really wanted, and I really expected or imagined, that Matilda would have siblings that were close to her age. I wanted that for her. But I couldn't make that happen. And now that she's 6 that isn't even a possibility anymore. So something that was making me feel impatient, that's been removed. For whatever reason, that's not our luck, or our path." Very interesting... do you have any thoughts about Michelle's reflections?
Michelle Williams seen on Nov 18 2011 in New York, NY. Michelle Williams was spotted heading out of an office building in NYC on November 18, rocking a stylish yet sensible ensemble. Starting with bright blue skinny jeans (similar to Paige Premium Denim's Legging Pant in Blue), Michelle wore Stella McCartney's striped top (try Bailey 44's Stay Six Top in Black/Cream) under a white tuxedo jacket with black lapels, and a pair of Wayfarers. Black platforms (check out Diane von Furstenberg's Grace Suede Platform Pump in Black) and a black leather tote (Cassandra's Caroline Large Tote in Black has cool multi-colored studs) completed MW's look. What are your thoughts, everyone? As I'm sure you know, Michelle portrays the iconic Marilyn Monroe in her latest project My Week With Marilyn. Michelle recent dished with Reuters about the role, and what she considers to be her own personal stabilizing force. Says Michelle: "I’m not in as needy of a place, although I think I was when I played the role. I found myself becoming far more dependent and clingy in a way that I had never done before. Luckily, I have a stabilizing force, which is my [6-year-old] daughter [Matilda]. I often think, if Marilyn had a kid, she would have pulled through, I really do." Very interesting stuff.
