MAMAGUILERA’S BIRTHDAY BASH

Leave it to Christina Aguilera to continually take things to the next level, and that’s exactly how she celebrated her 28th birthday in Los Angeles on December 18. Going all out with a Clockwork Orange themed party at Osteria Mozza, Mamaguilera made her entrance at the celeb studded affair dressed head to toe in an Alex de Large costume, complete with a bowler hat and cane. Who says you can’t pretend your birthday is Halloween, anyway? I wouldn’t recommend taking this look to the streets, but you can make winter white wearable with icy skinny jeans (James Jeans’ Tom 5 Pocket Straight Leg in Aspen White is a popular favorite), an arctic white top (like Autumn Cashmere’s Puff Sleeve Top in Winter White), and fierce black boots (skip the hat, but try a cozy scarf like Qi’s Cashmere Ruffled Cocoon Shawl in Arctic White to satisfy the season). Enjoying the chance to let loose with some pals, Christina shared cocktails with friends including Nicole Richie, Joel and Benji Madden, and Paris Hilton, while DJ AM kept the music spinning throughout the evening. At the height of the night, hubby Jordan Bratman (also dressed in full costume) gave a heartwarming toast to his beloved, clinking his glass with his wife’s favorite nectar, a sticky sweet cotton candy mojito. The unnatural color freaks me out a little, but it looks like Mamaguilera more than enjoyed herself! Taking a little time to gush about her man recently, Christina dished on what it takes to make her marriage work: “I have the most wonderful partner in Jordan. We make it a priority to work on our marriage. You have to take it seriously and respect each other and be a team. We always have date nights as well - it helps to keep the marriage alive after you have kids. My husband and I love to play board games together!” It may be so, I have a feeling there were more than board games being played in the presidential suite they shared together after the party!
