MAKING MOM CRY

A little retail therapy is always a fun indulgence, especially when you leave the Rumor boutique in Sherman Oaks with two stuffed shopping bags like Hayden Panettiere on Oct 29. Combining her shopping spree with family time (not to mention a caffeine jolt), HP browsed the racks with her mom and little brother before picking out an assortment of scarves and hats to add some flair to her fall wardrobe… that is, if fall ever begins in LA! Wearing a flattering turquoise tank (check out the similar shape of Woo’s Anna Tunic in Wasabi Green) with faded skinny jeans (like Desert Blue’s Water Element Jean in Tornado Dark Indigo) and her favorite Rainbow flip-flips, Hayden rocked a pair of gold aviators while carrying a chic black purse (try Jenny Yuen’s compact Sherlock Satchel in Black). For someone who cares so much about saving the whales, the leather bag and shoes definitely undermine her animal-loving message! Besides the newly purchased digs, HP showed off another new acquisition on her shopping venture: a vertical tat on her back beginning with “Vivere,” with the second word disappearing under her shirt. Embracing her heritage, Hayden went with the Italian spelling of “to live,” making me wonder just what the rest of it might say! Though most would say the font and meaning behind the tat is pretty classy, HP’s mama would definitely disagree. After discovering Hayden’s first tattoo, a Leo sign on her ankle, her mom was reduced to tears at seeing her daughter’s permanent artwork etched on her skin. Makes you wonder, was she trying to pick a fight by adding another emblem?
