LWD OBSESSED

Making a mini statement twice in one week, Diane Kruger shows her obsession with the revamped "little white dress" look on both coasts last week. Di first made an appearance at a fashion week Gotham magazine party in NYC on February 13, hosting the event at the Paramount hotel to celebrate her new cover issue (photo on the left). For the edgy New York crowd, Diane chose a sexy Azzaro Spring 2011 mini dress with a silver studded band ruching the left side of the dress (opt for Luc by Lucy's Side Ruffle Sierra Dress in White) paired with stunning Brian Atwood 'Super Charged' python booties (check out Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Sabbia Embossed Python). Di completed the look with her hair down, smoky eyes and a skinny silver bracelet. A few nights later Diane made her way back to the west coast for the LA premiere of her new film Unknown starring Liam Neeson on February 16 in Westwood, CA. Di strutted down the red carpet in a super short Dolce & Gabbana lace mini with silver crystal embellishments (check out Sue Wong's Floral Overlay Dress in Ivory) and a pair of Brian Atwood 'Maniac' nude pumps (similar to Coye Nokes' Jacqueline Pump in Taupe Patent). For this event Di wore her hair up, revealing diamond stud earrings and adding a little sparkle with a silver cuff bracelet (like Gorjana's Zebra Skinny Cuff in Silver). What do you think of the two ways she's wearing the LWD trend, do you think it works better with an edgy twist or a softer feminine touch? I think the D&G dress is just a tad too short for her super long legs, so the first look wins for me. I have to point out that either dress would be difficult for anyone to pull off, but Diane always brings the magic touch that makes it work – maybe it's her career beginnings as a model that help her out! Di recently chatted with Glamour about her pre-fame desire to be an actress: “I’m from a small village [in Germany], and it never occurred to me that you could actually make a living performing. It was a hobby. I always thought you had to live in Hollywood. So the urge really came later, when I became a model." Both career moves seem to be working out well for her!
