LOVIN' THE COSTUMES

A very comfy Emily Blunt throws a few coins in the parking meter before heading to lunch at Quality Restaurant in West Hollywood on March 8. Em started with black jeggings (like Ella Moss' Ponte Legging in Black), a cropped black jacket (love Alice + Olivia's Alex Crop Blazer in Black) and a casual white tank (like James Perse's Long Tank in White). Staying warm against the wind with an oatmeal scarf (opt for American Vintage's Arizona Scarf in Mocha), EB tucked her skinnies into cropped suede boots (check out Gwyneth Shoes' Alba Ankle Boot in Tan) and carried her fav black leather tote (Linea Pelle's Dylan Medium Tote in Black is my go-to bag). Love her studded wrap bracelet (just like Linea Pelle's Skinny Double Wrap Stud Bracelet in Crimson) buckled on her wrist – too cute! What do you think of Em's casual look readers, yay or nay? As you may have heard, Em's costume designer for The Young Victoria, Sandy Powell, took home the Oscar for Best Costume Design earlier this month. Emily chatted with the LA Times recently about her experience dressing up in a corset every day for her role: "…I actually love the physical elements of creating a part and once you’ve got the costumes on, they’re so ethereal and alien and they feel so strange, when you first put them on, that you almost don’t have to do anything. You don’t have to worry about moving differently or standing differently, because it does everything for you… So I find the costumes quite transporting, particularly if they’re as beautiful as the ones that I’ve gotten to wear." It sounds like she's gotten over her earlier comments about being "corseted within an inch" of her life! What did you think of the costumes in Voung Victoria?
