LOVE IN NYC

Love is in the air on the streets of NYC this holiday season, and Cameron Diaz proudly displayed her affection for her beau Paul Sculfor as they took a West Village stroll together on December 18. Bundled up for the frigid weather, Cameron put her look together with dark skinnies (like Joe’s Jeans’ classic Chelsea Jean in Vincent) and a simple black sweater under a gray double breasted peacoat (check out Suzabelle’s Marin Trench Coat in Grey Tweed or try something more traditional like Raw 7’s Cashmere Peacoat in Black), topped off by a cozy black knit cap. I love her Julie K glazed handbag from the holiday collection (snag her style with Julie K’s Jen Shoulder Bag in Black) but I love, love, love Cameron’s quilted black boots! What do you think of her ‘fit – would you wear it? Adding her favorite jade bauble ring (Castaway’s elegant Chalcedony Ring in Brass is very similar), Cam got her CrackBerry fix as she strolled hand in hand with her man around the Big Apple. Is it just me or does it seem like she never lets go of that thing? I’m not one to talk considering my own wireless ways, but doesn’t the cell check kind of kill the romantic vibe? Getting ready for the holidays in style, Cameron extended her NYC stay after attending the Broadway premiere of Shrek the Musical over the previous weekend. Though she declined to have anything to do with the musical production, Cam enjoyed getting a chance to watch her character, Fiona, take the stage: “It’s hilarious. There’s so many laughs. . . . It’s great to see all the actors playing it together, because when we do it for animated [films], we never see each other. We don’t work together.” What a shame! You won’t be able to hear Cameron as Fiona until 2010, when the next sequel to the ever-popular Shrek franchise is released, so until then be sure to check out the Broadway play if you can. With the exception of the so-so musical score, the play has been getting great reviews for its bawdy jokes spawning century old fairy tales to modern pop culture. Will any of you be making the trek to the theatre?
