LEIGHTON'S "DATE NIGHT"

"Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester walked the red carpet in style for her the premiere of her new film, Date Night, which was held on April 6 at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC. Co-starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell, Leighton's role in the film is a real departure from her scheming ways as Blair Waldorf on "GG." For the big premier, Leighton donned a Giambattista Vali dress with fringe detailing on the back (for two similar yet slightly toned down versions, try Voom by Joy Han's Vogel Babydoll Dress in Silver or CO2 Cashmere's Braided Strap Dress in White) along with bold Phi strappy heels (similar to Gwyneth Shoes' Tanya in Black) and dazzling Cathy Waterman jewelry. Of her part in the film, Leighton says: "[I play Tina Fey and Steve Carell's] next door neighbor and their babysitter. I come over and babysit their kids and they go on a wild night!
