LEGGY LUAU

Enjoying some quality time with her husband, Ashlee Simpson arrives holding hands with Pete at a luau in Hollywood on August 29. The happy couple obeyed the instructions at the door and got "lei'd" before heading inside to enjoy the BBQ festivities. Ash dressed appropriately for the summer soiree in a flirty floral romper (check out Wit.'s Satin Print Ruffle Romper in Yellow/White) covering a frisky polka dot bikini (just like Nina Swimwear's Lollypop Bikini in Brown). Ashlee topped the look with teetering cherry red platform sandals (finish out the summer in style with Gwyneth Shoes' Trixie in Purple), carrying a straw tote with all her poolside essentials inside (transition the casual style to the street with Linea Pelle's Perry Woven Tote in Cognac). What do you think of Ashlee's leggy look, does it work for her? I have to comment that she looks a bit healthier than she did wearing short shorts a few weeks ago in LA. Do you agree the super bony look seems to have subsided here? Ash is also sporting the new "ombre hair" trend, letting her dark roots grow out gradually lightened. What are your thoughts on this new look, is it working for her? I think she's pulling it off just as well as Kristen Cavallari, but everytime I see a new celeb doing this I can't help but think it looks like a recessionista excuse not to get your roots done! Anyone agree??
