Showing a little leg over the weekend, Eva Longoria shared a double date with her hubby Tony Parker at Giorgio Baldi, meeting up with Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman for a hearty Italian dinner in Santa Monica on January 24. I’m loving the mod look of Eva’s leggy long sleeved frock with a double button closure (check out PGD Style’s Candice V Neck Mini Dress in Black under Autumn Cashmere’s Double Breasted Cashmere Sweater in Black in colder climates) with elongating YSL pumps, but I don’t understand why such a huge patent leather tote is necessary for a dinner date (Rocco e Dante’s Katie Bag in Blue is more practical). Really, if Eva was a contortionist it looks like she could easily fit inside! Do any of you carry bags this big when you go out, on dates or to clubs? After getting my bread plate and utensils knocked off my table at a swanky LA eatery by a gargantuan tote, thanks to the woman at the table next to me, I make a conscious effort to stitch to hassle free clutches at night! Back to the ‘fit… I can’t help but think Eva’s flashy silver hoops add a nice, classic touch (try Michele Michel’s Swarovski Hoops in Silver to add a little sparkle), but do you think such a simple ‘fit calls for more flamboyant jewelry? I like Eva’s new sleek, shorter ‘do, but I’m not a fan of the raccoon eyes. I’ve seen some girls pull off the smoky kohl-eyes look, but it makes Eva’s face look sullen and draws too much attention to her pointy nose and sharp cheekbones. Not loving the effect! What do you think of her head-to-toe look – love it or lose it? In my opinion, Eva has been looking a little tired jumping back into filming Desperate Housewives after the hectic holiday season, where Eva spent most of her time working and dining at Beso. All of Eva’s hard work over the past year seems to have paid off though: all of the ladies of Wisteria Lane were nominated for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series at this year’s SAG Awards, held the day after Eva and Tony’s glamorous dinner date. Did any of you catch the Desperate Housewives gang strutting down the red carpet?
