LEAVING ON A JETPLANE

Trying out a less flamboyant new look, Christina Aguilera sailed through the Los Angeles Airport on Oct 10, carrying her adorable baby boy while rushing to catch her flight to the UK. Mamaguilera was on her way to take the stage at Thisday’s Africa Rising Festival in London, joining a handful of other celebs to raise awareness to find sustainable solutions for Africa’s social and economic problems. Besides getting her career reignited, Christina recently opened up to People about the changes in her life over the past year: "It is really important to me that I don't lose myself. I still do things that make me feel good. I let my son experience who I am – as an artist, as a musician, things that I love and am passionate about." Motherhood clearly suits her well, and so does the casual look she’s got going on here. Much better than a too-short LBD and hooker boots she normally prefers, if you ask me! For her travels, Mamaguilera wore comfy black pants (try Hank Vintage Threads’ Brushed Cotton Terry Pants in Black) with a loose tank (like Rails’ simple Jacqueline Tank in Ivory) and a butter yellow cardigan (see Autumn Cashmere’s Cable Grandfather Sweater in Citrine, a sleeveless version in the same hue), completing her down-to-earth look with a grey knitted cap, red patent flats, and monstrous sunnies (check out Nour’s similarly shaped Baba in Oro Bianco). Not the most exciting ‘fit but definitely more appropriate than her latest picks. I'm curious, would any of you rock the hat?
