L'AVENUE LADY

Pulling out all the stops in Paris, Beyonce Knowles struts her stuff as she and hubby Jay-Z leave L'Avenue after a romantic dinner on January 21 On the way out Bey showed off her sleek new tresses with bangs and highlights, staying covered up in her fav Ray Ban-esque sunnies and shielding herself from the paps with menacing spiky 3.1 Philip Lim gloves (also worn by Kim Kardashian). From there Beyonce picked leggings with shiny studded tape running down the side seam (try The Battalion's Brushed Bamboo Legging in Black) with a black tank and edgy blue tweed cropped jacket with metallic bands on the sleeves (opt for Suzabelle's Belleterre Cropped Jacket in Pewter or The Battalion's Asymmetric Boho Jacket in White), staying true to the classics with plain Loub black pumps (love Coye Yokes' textural twist with the Jacqueline Pump in Black Crocco). Lastly, Bey carried a gorgeous bright blue Balenciaga Arena bag (save some pennies without sacrificing luxury with Donald J Pilner's Banas in Blue). What do you readers think of this 'fit? It's kind of a mish-mash of trends for me, but the biggest problem I'm having is with the crotch area. Not going to go as far as to say she's showing off a camel toe, but it's just not flattering to wear a regular length top with super tight, super unforgiving spandex pants! After spending a romantic night together in Paris, Bey and Jay-Z arrived in London for the "Hope for Haiti Now" global benefit telethon, where they each collaborated with stars to raise funds for victims of the tragic earthquake that shook the struggling nation earlier this month. Jay-Z performed with Rihanna and U2, while Bey sang her ballad "Halo" with Coldplay's Chris Martin at the piano. She changed the lyrics for the cause, belting out, "Haiti, we can see your halo/ You know you're my saving grace," as viewers tuned in to what was a spectacularly moving night. If you didn't watch, the freshly recorded tracks are now for sale on iTunes, with a portion of all profits to be shared with "Hope for Haiti" charities including the Red Cross. If you haven't already, here's your chance to make a difference, readers!
