Lady Gaga seen on Aug 20 2012 in Amsterdam, Holland. A brunette Lady Gaga was photographed debuting her new 'do as she arrived at the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, Holland earlier today, August 20, taking the time to snap a few photos with fans. What are your thoughts on Gaga's darker locks, everyone? She has been updating her Twitter like mad with updates on her hair, saying: "Definitely feeling less blond lately and little more progressive brunette. I am LOUIS VUITTON BROWN. BITCH THATS LV" and "Im gonna leave one streak of bad by my left ear. Lady when its down, and Gaga when its up. could we belong together?" Turns out, she decided to do away with the blonde streak, saying: "i think I'm gonna do away with this blond streak, feeling like a purist. gosh i forgot what it was like to have soft hair!" It may seem like a lot of focus on her hair, but remember readers, she does have a whole song devoted to "Hair"! Outfit wise, Gaga kept it pretty low key and simple, opting for a pair of black short shorts (try Bleulab's Reversible Shortcut/Curve Short in Carbon) and an oversized t-shirt (like LnA's Seamed Cape Tee in Black), and then toted a sparkly purple bag (Zambos & Siega's Chloe Bag in Black has a similar silhouette, while Julie K Handbags' Jacqui Aqua Boa is a fun color) and wore a pair of knee high socks with chunky boots. With so many major celebrity hair changes happening of late (from Miley's platinum chop to Gaga's "Louis Vuitton brown") I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the transformation!
Lady Gaga seen on Jul 26 2012 in Melbourne, Australia. Lady Gaga was photographed arriving at her hotel in Melbourne, Australia on July 26, wearing an ensemble that is pretty tame for her standards. Starting with an oversized black hat and pair of sunglasses, Gaga wore what appears to be a vintage Versace printed shirt dress (for two similar options, try Phoebe Couture's Mixed Print Dress in Red Multi, Voom by Joy Han's Nautical Convertible Dress in Red or Veronica M's Short Dress in Reef) under a black blazer (opt for Elizabeth & James' classic Cate Blazer in Black), that she then accessorized with a pair of sheer black tights, a black belt with silver buckle, and one of her skyscraping pairs of black lace-up boots. What's your take on this street style look for The Lady, everyone? As I'm sure you've seen, Lady Gaga is featured on the September issue cover of Vogue, looking fierce in a purple Marc Jacobs fishtail gown. Inside the magazine, Gaga opens up on everything from her new fragrance ("The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black. It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you") to one of the highlights of her current Born This Way Ball ("We were talking about putting the show together, and I said, OK, what if I was someone’s grandma and I was going to a concert tonight. How would I know that it was a Gaga show? And we all just sort of looked at each other and said,‘The meat dress.'"), and especially about her music. Says Gaga: "I don’t really make records for people to listen to and go, ‘Wow, she’s a genius.” I’d really like you to order a drink, maybe kiss the person you came with that evening, or rediscover something about your past that makes you feel even more brave." Thoughts, everyone?
Lady Gaga seen on Jul 08 2012 in Sydney, Australia. Lady Gaga was photographed making her way through Sydney Airport to leave Australia after wrapping up the Oceania leg of her Born This Way Ball Tour on July 8, opting for a black and gold ensemble. For her outfit, Gaga paired a black strapless dress with a leather corset top and cross embroidered skirt (for two simpler options, check out either Aaron Ashe's Hyde Park Dress in Black or Stretta's Hannah Tube Dress in Black) with a statement gold belt (try Elegantly Waisted's Lisa Belt in Bronze for something similar, yet a little more demure) and her trademark sky-high platforms. Oversized black sunnies and a few silver rings (I'm sure LG would approve of Femme Metale Jewelry's Serpent Ring in Silver) completed her look. For Gaga, I'd say this look is pretty tame overall... what are your thoughts, everyone? In other Gaga news, it seems that the "Edge of Glory" songstress may be new pals with - are you ready for this - Lindsay Lohan! Last night, Gaga tweeted the following to Lohan: "When you ordered a cucumber and a knife to the bar last night I thought you were gonna perform a vasectomy #justaskinnyb**ch." LL then responded with: "#skinnysnack1 @ladygaga hahaha." While I definitely think that Lindsay is smart for hanging with Gaga - who knows a thing or two about work ethic and professionalism - I'm not sure if they make the best team. Thoughts on this new famous friendship?
Lady Gaga seen on Jun 05 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand. Lady Gaga was spotted heading into Stamford Plaza in Auckland, New Zealand on June 5, looking quite polished as she arrived for the newest dates for her "Born This Way Ball Tour." Always one to turn her arrival into a red carpet moment, Gaga donned a neon orange Antonio Berardi Fall 2012 sleeves peplum dress with her favorite pair of white Christian Louboutin Daffodil Pumps. From there, LG added on complementary white accessories, including a quirky pair of white sunglasses, pearl earrings and bracelets, and white gloves. To steal Lady Gaga's look yet make it infinitely more wearable, try a bright orange frock - such as either James & Joy by Joy Han's Nick Mini Dress in Orange or Stretta's Rosie Dress in Marigold - and accessorize with a few dainty pearl accents. Try Calico Juno Designs' Cosmopolitan Pearl Drop Earring paired with Love Heals' braided pearl bracelet, the Interval Bracelet in White. What's your take on Gaga's ensemble here, readers - do you like it when she goes for a more fashion look vs. more of an outlandish one? For those of you who have been following Lady Gaga's love life, you might be interested to know that she is allegedly "back on" with beau Taylor Kinney. According to Us Weekly, Gaga and Kinney are giving their relationship another go. Taylor joined Gaga on her tour stops in Thailand and Singapore, and according to a source, "They sure looked like they were back together - holding hands and being cute everywhere they went. They were seen kissing right as they got into the [hotel] elevator. They are going to try and make it work even with her crazy schedule. Gaga realized she missed him." Interesting - it's hard to believe that the two (especially Gaga) have time for each other!
Lady Gaga seen on May 08 2012 in Tokyo, Japan. Lady Gaga was spotted arriving at the Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan for her Born This Way Ball Tour, of course opting for an outlandish look for her airport arrival. Rocking a black leather Versace coat dress (that is covered in black Swarovski crystals, by the way) with a pair of oversized black shades, black tights and her signature monster platforms, Gaga also was working a new hairstyle... a mile long, rainbow colored ponytail! What are your thoughts on this look for Gaga, everyone - one that only she can pull off? If you're interested in making this look more accessible for everyday life, try pairing a leather dress (such as either Bailey 44's Aero Dress in Black or Tart's Chantal Leather Dress in Black) with dark jewelry that Gaga would most definitely approve of, like Satya Jewelry's Black Onyx Mala Necklace with Love Heals' Inhabit in Lava. Upon arriving in Tokyo, Gaga took to her Twitter page to announce her feelings to her over 24 million followers, tweeting: "Thank u for the sweet welcome Tokyo! Getting ready to meet Japanese Haus for drinks! I missed them! Your spirit is a rainbow like my hair X." She also tweeted a special Mother's Day message earlier today, sweetly saying: "Thank you for all my mother's day messages! But the real happy day is for my mommy! Happy Mothers day mom, you're the best there ever was!" So cute!
Lady Gaga seen on May 02 2012 in Hong Kong. Lady Gaga was spotted looking quite demure as she left her hotel in Hong Kong on May 2 to head to her "Born This Way Ball" concert, donning a conservative black and white drop waist dress from the Moschino Fall 2012 collection. From there, Gaga wore a circular pair of sunnies, black tights, and a pair of Brian Atwood platforms to complete her look. What are your thoughts on this more refined look from LG, everyone? She's not even wearing her long claw nails! To emulate this look for real life, try a simple black dress with a similar silhouette, such as Bailey 44's Solid Quas Dress in Black. Or, for one with added adornments like Gaga's, check out Nanette Lepore's Triple Time Dress in Black. From there, you can't go wrong with Ray-Ban's New Wayfarer - try them in either Black or Tortoise. As you may have heard, Lady Gaga recently split with her "Vampire Diaries" beau Taylor Kinney. Why, you ask? According to a source, "She will be touring nonstop until next year and has found she can't have relationship at the same time. There's just no room for anything else. Her work is all-consuming." Another source added: "Taylor was all about himself, a typical actor, and didn't completely get Gaga. She loved that she got this guy who everyone thought was hot! But it was never going to last." Sounds about right... it must be super hard for her to have a relationship while she's touring around the world!
Lady Gaga seen on Dec 31 2011 in New York, NY. After celebrating New Year's Eve in Times Square and fulfilling her honorable role helping NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg drop the ball at midnight, Lady Gaga was photographed looking angelic while heading to a late-night soiree at her father's new restaurant Joanne. True to her trademark style, Gaga donned quite the ensemble - and as much as I love her risk-taking fashion sense, I can't help but immediately think that her long white coat is going to get DESTROYED after being dragged on the streets of New York! I'm sure that's the least of her worries, though. The "Marry the Night" songstress is wearing a Stephane Rolland Fall 2010 Couture white mini dress that continues into a cape with a long train, paired with bejeweled white tights from the runway show and white Christian Louboutin Daffodil heels. Pearls and round translucent shades completed Gaga's ensemble. In the mood to add some winter white into your wardrobe? Try pairing William Rast's Sienna Jean in Britney with Tart's Brenda Top in White, and top your look off with Miilla's Short Sleeve Lightweight Jacket in White. Or, go the dress route with Sena's unique Flared Diamond Dress in White. What are your thoughts on Gaga's elaborate ensemble here, everyone? She most certainly had an unforgettable time on New Year's Eve, as she took to her Twitter to say: "I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway." I wonder what crazy outfits Gaga's going to wear in 2012?
Lady Gaga seen on Nov 16 2011 in London, England. Lady Gaga was photographed heading into ITV Studios in London on November 16, wearng a neon color blocked look consisting of a Roksanda Ilincic dress and Philip Treacy hat. A pair of her favorite Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps and round sunnies completed Gaga's look. If you like the color combination of hot pink and turquoise, rock a Gaga-inspired ensemble by pairing these vibrant shades together. Try wearing Nanette Lepore's Seychelles Top in Aqua with Ani Apparel's Banded Skirt in Hot Pink, or try Joie's Kylie B Top in Veridian with Kimberly Taylor's Malta Skirt in Fuchsia. What are your thoughts on this outfit of hers, friends? While The Lady continues to have fun with fashion, it's very interesting to see what she's choosing to wear instead of her former elaborate street style costumes. For all of you Little Monsters out there, you're probably excited about Gaga's new book with photographer Terry Richardson, titled "Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson." Gaga recently read the foreward that she wrote for the tome, that said: "Terry finds beauty in the most intricate and unassuming of places. His photography beckons the question over and over again: ‘Should there ever be limitations in art?’ Because when he captures me in a moment of such tandem and artistic human purity, I’m convinced the answer is that we must push the boundaries of culture through love and acceptance." Are any of you excited about seeing Terry's photos of Lady Gaga?
Lady Gaga seen on Nov 12 2011 in London, England. Lady Gaga was photographed leaving a studio in London yesterday, November 12, rocking a shades-of-blue ensemble with long blonde/grey locks. Starting with a v-cut teal silk blouse (Aaron Ashe's St. Barts Top in Frosty Mint has a similar silhouette, while Chaiken's Jessica Twist Top in Capri is similar in color) tucked into a pair of midnight blue silk shorts (try Jenni Kayne's Jodphur Short in Charcoal for a similar fit), Gaga also wore a pair of blue suede heels with metallic adornments and oversized chandelier earrings (just like Tiger Lily Jewelry's Boho Chic Crystal Earring in Gold/Champagne). From there, a pair of black leather gloves and green framed sunglasses completed The Lady's look. Thoughts, everyone? In other Gaga news, it has been reported that the "Marry The Night" singer has split from longtime collaborator Laurieann Gibson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Popular hip-hop gossip site MediaTakeOut was first to report that the two had a “bitter fight.” It postulates that Gibson’s ego has gotten the best of the choreographer-turned-reality star and points to several comments made in the press recently, one in which Gibson credits Madonna for inspiring Gaga’s ever-evolving style - a comparison Gaga has tried to distance herself from." The source continues: "A rep for Gaga confirmed that the two are no longer working together but declined to comment further. Gibson could not be reached for comment." I wonder what went down?
Lady Gaga seen on Nov 03 2011 in London, England. Lady Gaga turned her exit from London's Soho Screening Rooms into a personal runway show on November 3, rocking a Michael Kors Fall 2011 fur coat with... pretty much nothing else. Fishnets stockings posed as bottoms, and The Lady accessorized with round sunglasses, oversized earrings, a diamond cuff, and her favorite Christian Louboutin Lady Daf pumps. Thoughts, everyone? To get a look inspired by this LG ensemble, wear Free People's Sherpa Coat in White - or, if you're into the color scheme of Lady Gaga's outfit here, pick up Jenny Han's Stripe Bolero in Mauve - and then accessorize with Sachin + Babi for Ankasa's Rhodes Bracelet in Black and Asha by ADM's Carlotta Mother of Pearl Earrings. Over the top? Of course! Lady Gaga appeared earlier this evening at the MTV European Music Awards, and (not surprisingly) turned out to be one of the biggest winner's of the night. The "Edge of Glory" songstress took home trophies in the following categories: "Best Female Video,""Best Song,"" and "Best Video" for "Born This Way." Congrats are definitely in order... you go, Gaga!
Lady Gaga seen on Oct 21 2011 in New York, NY. Stepping out in New York City on October 21, Lady Gaga was photographed heading into the Edison Ballroom wearing a classic - yet still quirky - ensemble. Being honored that evening with the Big Man of the Year award for her music education work at the Little Kids Rock benefit, Gaga decided to stick to a black color scheme for her ensemble. Wearing a conservative LBD (try either Alexia Admor's Gweneth Dress in Black or Jenni Kayne's Panel Sleeve Dress in Black) with what looks like some sort of cocoon/cape, Lady Gaga teetered along on her trademark super-high platforms while wearing leather elbow length gloves. She decided to kick it up a notch with her jewelry, and wore a statement necklace (to create the same effect, check out Falconiere's Chandelier Tiered Panel Necklace in Black) with matching earrings (such as Anna Beck's Small Woven Knot Earrings in Silver). What are your thoughts on LG's outfit here, everyone? At the reception, Gaga received the award from Clarence Clemmons' wife. Clarence played the saxophone on Gaga's hit single "The Edge of Glory" before passing away over the summer. Sounds like a very meaningful and touching evening for everyone involved. Said Gaga in her acceptance speech: "My first experience with music was my father playing a vinyl of the E Street Band. I knew every time the song played that my grandpa was looking down and thanking me [for] the gift I had given to my father by having Clarence on that record. There is no edge when it comes to Clarence’s glory." I'm sure Clarence's wife enjoyed this special moment as much as The Lady did.
Lady Gaga seen on Sep 10 2011 in New York, NY. Photographed out and about in NYC's Meatpacking District on September 10, Lady Gaga definitely made a racy statement in a lace ensemble. Slightly reminiscent of Britney's sheer dress from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga wore black undergarments with her sheer lace number. Her favorite Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps, circular sunnies, drop earrings (for a great statement pair, try Erickson Beamon's Ice Age Earring in Gold/Crystal), and a Chanel box tote completed her look. On a beauty note, Gaga wore one of her numerous wigs with a slightly grey tint in addition to sharp, well manicured nails. If you're looking to incorporate lace into your summer-to-fall wardrobe, check out one of the lace dresses here on CoutureCandy, such as Carter's aptly named Racy Lacy Tube Top Dress in Black/Beige or Bianca Nero's Lace and Charmeuse Shirred Mini Dress in Black/Vine. Akiko's Lace Poncho in Black is another way to incorporate this fabric into your ensemble. MTV spoke to Gaga recently, and the "Born This Way" songstress discussed her love for New York as the anniversary of 9/11 approached. She said: "I mean, there's so many stories that people don't know. I watched the towers fall from the roof of my school, holding all my best friends. I don't know... just, my affinity and my love and the relationship I have with New York City — it's like the husband I never married." Very moving... do any of you have any memories or thoughts about New York you'd like to share in the comments?
Lady Gaga seen on Aug 11 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Lady Gaga was caught by the paparazzi as she glamorously made her way out of a recording studio in LA on August 11, as she spent over 10 hours recording the vocals for her upcoming duet with Cher, "The Greatest Thing" - a track that Gaga herself wrote. Wearing a Versace Fall 2011 printed dress, Gaga is definitely reminiscent of a young Donatella - no? Gaga completed her look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps, gold bangles, a classic black clutch and square black shades. For a Gaga-inspired 'fit, check out one of CoutureCandy's printed one shoulder dresses - like Yoana Baraschi's Modern Klimt in Multi or Carter's Wild Horse Rouched Mini in Red/Print - and pair it with a black clutch like Halston Heritage's Susan Evening Clutch in Jet. For the finishing touch, L.A.M.B.'s Pounce Pony Hair Ankle Strap Pump in Black should do the trick. What are your thoughts on this outfit of Gaga's, readers? Do you like seeing her a bit more "normal" or do you prefer her kookier, more innovative outfits? StyleBistro seems to think that this look is quite "shocking" for the Lady, saying: "Quite Shocking and Historical Moment!! The “Born This Way” singer looked lady like and stunned onlookers with her feminine side in the little black dress with purple tulip printed on it and gold button detailing. We always wanted to use words like Gorgeous, Beautiful, Pretty, Girly for this bizarrely dressed singer and it is right time to do that. The popular pop star looked stylish, gorgeous and beautiful." Do you agree?
Lady Gaga seen on Aug 10 2011 in Beverly Hills, CA. Stepping out for dinner at Crustacean in Beverly Hills on August 10, Lady Gaga continued her streak of "normal" dressing by pairing a vampy black dress with her favorite Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps and a black box clutch. For an equally sophisticated ensemble, go for either Sena's Slit Maxi Dress in Black or Sky's Long Maxi Dress in Black and then wear with L.A.M.B.'s Pounce Pony Hair Ankle Strap Pump in Black while toting Halston Heritage's Susan Evening Clutch in Jet. Are you liking this toned down version of Gaga, or do you miss her more outrageous fashion statements? As I'm sure you've heard, Gaga is opening this weekend's MTV Video Music Awards, which is always an event onto itself. Says Gaga of the upcoming performance: "It will be a continuation of everything I've been doing, and it will be exactly what fans want." Who's excited??
Lady Gaga seen on Jul 26 2011 in West Hollywood, CA. Photographed at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on July 26, Lady Gaga worked an almost angelic ensemble as the paparazzi snapped away. Starting with a two-tone wig and a bright red lip, Gaga wore a demure Yves Saint Laurent blouse and wide leg pants that most certainly covered whatever sky scraping stilettos she chose for the night. From there, a vintage pair of Dejour shades and a chunky necklace completed her look. For a slightly more wearable version of Gaga's look, try pairing Robbi & Nikki's Jersey Contrast Blouse in White with either Fresh Laundry's Linen Pants in White or Allen Allen's Two Pocket Pant in White, and accessorize with Robyn Rhodes' Sophia Necklace in White Opal. Are you enjoying this look on Gaga, everyone? On her recent appearance on Los Angeles radio station KIIS FM, The Lady spoke out about the tragic passing of fellow songstress Amy Winehouse. Gaga shared: "I didn't know Amy, I just loved her so much. I was such a huge fan, and I was a go-go dancer in New York when she was really big. So Amy gave me hope." When she found out about the news, Gaga took to her Twitter to express her sentiments, saying: "Amy changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues." Such a tragedy, indeed.
Lady Gaga seen on Jul 14 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Spotted strutting her stuff through LAX on July 14, Lady Gaga wore what I believe is one of her most demure ensembles to date! Sporting a figure hugging LBD (both Bailey 44's Magic Snake Dress or Robert Rodriguez's Leather and Knit Dress in Black are similar), Gaga rocked her favorite Christian Louboutin Daffodil stilettos and toted a tiny Louis Vuitton trunk for her airport stroll. From there, Gaga belted her look (try Suzi Roher's Adjustable Suede Cut Out Belt), wore a chic black topper and toted her BlackBerry. For the finishing touches, LG wore a pair of square Chanel sunnies and a pair of vintage gold earrings (check out Anna Beck's Gold Plated Dish Earring). What are your thoughts on this Lady look, loves? Do you like seeing her dress in a way that's a bit more accessible, or do you prefer her outrageous outfits? In somewhat surprising Gaga news, the Lady is allegedly going to be interning for famous milliner Philip Treacy, who designed multiple hats at the Royal Wedding in addition to Gaga's famous sparkly silver lobster topper from a few years back. According to Treacy, "She's already visited me. This is what happened: one Monday morning, four burly bodyguards arrived – Lady Gaga's security team – to check out the security of the building. I looked at them as if to say: what?! Who is going to take a pot shot at Lady Gaga? Anyway, she is young, talented and peculiar – which I like." I have to ask... how does Lady Gaga have the time to be an intern? Due to her hectic schedule that finds her in a different country nearly every week, is she going to show up once every two months?
Lady Gaga seen on Jul 11 2011 in Sydney, Australia. Caught leaving Nevermind nightclub in Sydney, Australia on July 11, Lady Gaga wore one of her signature outlandish outfits as the photogs snapped away. Starting with an electric purple PVC dress, LG opted for a colorful archival Versace jacket with fishnet stockings and edgy knee high boots. From there, an oversized gold necklace and earring added on to her statement-making look, which was finished off with chain adorned sunglasses and a vintage hat. Oh Gaga! If you enjoy Gaga's fashion sense and are looking to translate this kooky look to everyday wear, try a sexy cocktail dress such as Catherine Malandrino's Asymmetric Ruched Dress in Eggplant or Tibi's Layla Beaded Dress in Black, and wear with a big necklace like Erickson Beamon's Chain Gang Necklace. For a cool printed coat, take a peek at Meghan Los Angeles' Mitchell Jacket in Rust. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this Gaga getup, everyone! In somewhat surprising Gaga news, it seems that the popular songstress has given up on finding true love. Say what? Says the Lady: "I am a hopeless romantic, but there's no hope for me. I get lonely at night. However, I find romance in these gloves or in the belt I sewed on to my shirt today." Chin up Gaga, I'm sure there's an equally as outrageous guy out there that's perfect for you!
Lady Gaga seen on Feb 16 2011 in New York, NY. Always one to make a statement, Lady Gaga was spotted leaving a recording studio in Manhattan on February 16. Dressed (if we can say that) in a leather motorcycle jacket and platform boots, Gaga completed her look with a studded beret, oversized sunglasses, fingerless gloves, tights and a black lace bra. For an outfit inspired by Lady Gaga, but with much more coverage, try pairing Emu's Tuncurry Jacket in Grey with Black Halo's Vamp Bustier in Black, and a pair of edgy leggings. Bejeweled's Luxurious Tie Dye Legging in Milky Way Bomba or David Lerner's Side Zip Pocket Legging in Black should do the trick. Thoughts on LG's ensemble, readers? For those of you who are fans of the statement-making singer, you more than likely caught her recent appearance on "Good Morning America." When asked about her now infamous arrival to The Grammy's in an egg, she said: "I was in there for three days... I was viva glamming for three whole days because I wanted to have a rebirth and I think the universe needs to have a rebirth/ I think we all need to be inside a vessel for a three whole days, thinking about how we can love ourselves more, protect ourselves more, live life with more passion and look not outwards for validation but inwards, look inside of yourself to your spirit and your inner light." When asked about the title track of her new album "Born This Way," Gaga revealed: "Born This Way is so much bigger than me, it's not about me at all really... the song when I wrote it, I just knew it was destined to reach so many people all over the world and the most humbling thing for me this past weekend has been watching the fans just harness onto the record and people that weren't my fans before really, really enjoying the music and feeling uplifted and a sense of positivity." Are you liking "Born This Way," everyone?
Lady Gaga seen on Dec 17 2010 in London, UK. Lady Gaga was photographed leaving her hotel in London on December 17, in town for her "Monster Ball Tour" appearance at the O2 Arena. Of course, Gaga was dressed in true Gaga fashion, pairing a patterned silk maxi dress with a gold coin belt and black leather motorcycle jacket. From there, patent leather gloves, oversized black sunglasses, drop earrings, and her trademark sky-high patent leather platform boots completed her look. And let's not forget the bright red lip! While this outfit may not work for 99.9% of the population, there's no doubt that the Lady is rocking it. If you're a fan of her style and want to incorporate this look (in a much more wearable way) into your wardrobe, try pairing a patterned maxi dress (such as Lotta Stensson's Tie Dye Halter Dress in Black/White or RaMona LaRue's Stella Dress in Alligator) with a biker jacket like Muu Baa's Double Zip Relax Jacket in Black. Finish things off with delicate earrings, like Calico Juno Designs' Peridot Hammered Curl Earring in Gold and a red lip, and voila. Insta-Gaga! For those of you who were planning on seeing Gaga's concert in Paris last night, she took to her Twitter to announce how "furious and devastated" she was that French authorities had detained her tour buses. She tweeted: "All 28 of my trucks for the Monsterball were detained by the French government going on over 26 hrs, 2 of my employees were arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform. I am furious and devastated, its unfair to my fans and to me.I asked if I could do a stripped version of show, but there would be no sound or power source, its all been detained. I'm so sorry, angry + sad." However, all is well that ends well, as the Lady later tweeted: "The cancelled Paris show is rescheduled for Tuesday, 2moro's show will happen as planned. I promise to give u the nights of ure life. X" Little Monsters rejoice!
Lady Gaga seen on Jun 25 2010 in London, UK. While most of us make our way through airport terminals in sweatpants or jeans and a comfy sweatshirt, Lady Gaga sees her airport stroll as a major runway moment. Why else would she don such an over-the-top ensemble just to catch an outbound flight? Gaga was photographed making her way through Heathrow Airport in London on June 25 for a flight destined for NYC, rocking a white lace bra with a sheer tulle white skirt and embellished red blazer. Oh, Gaga. Skyhigh platforms and black sunnies completed her one of a kind look. The closest we can recommend are similar pieces, like Sue Wong's Macrame Mermaid Maxi in White and, for your red coat fix, Amberlynn's Pollie Trench Coat in Cherry. At least Gaga didn't fall in her ridiculously high shoes this time, like she did when she was photographed arriving at Heathrow. Did you see the photos of her crashing and burning in her twelve inch Noritaka Tatehana heelless boots? If not, check them out here. Poor Gaga! I guess she still hasn't learned her lesson. In other Gaga news, she premiered a new song called "You and I" at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball. Click here to watch a video of her performance. According to Gaga, she wrote this song on the piano she grew up playing in New York City, and is very dear to her heart. Love her or hate her, you can't deny that she is one of the most talented musicians today!
Lady Gaga seen on Jun 05 2010 in New York, NY. The always controversial Lady Gaga strolled through New York's JFK Airport on June 5 while attracting attention from photographers in her avant garde outfit. Looks like she's gotten another Hermes Birkin bag (remember the white Birkin that she wrote on with a black Sharpie marker?) and this time adorned it with spikes! Wonder what the people over at Hermes think of her constant customization of such a classic bag? Gaga paired a black leather studded romper with her favorite alien-chic heel-less platforms and a pair of black sunnies. While very few besides Gaga could leave the house in a getup like this, let's check out a more realistic way to get Gaga's look. Start with a black romper, such as Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Racerback Romper in Black or Tt Collection's Stacy in Black, and pair with edgy heels (such as Rock & Republic's Romy Pump in Pewter) and black shades. If you're into the studded detailing on Gaga's Birkin, take a look at the studded hardware on Novella Royale's Mister Handbag in Black/Gold. Thoughts on this, everyone? Gaga is featured on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone, told the mag about her own issues with self-esteem. Says Gaga, "When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, 'Bitch, you're Lady GaGa, you get up and and walk the walk today.'" And this is why I love her.
Lady Gaga seen on May 13 2010 in New York, NY. The always risque Lady Gaga was spotted leaving Mr. Chow in NYC on May 13 wearing an embellished Erickson Beamon face mask and... not much else. Gaga paired a black bra with a crystallized cross embellishment and a pair of black leather underwear with chain detailing (the closest we can recommend here is a black swimsuit - haha - such as RYGY Swimwear's Portofino Bikini in Black or Marysia Swim's Adjustable Bandeau Bikini in Black) with an oversized leather biker jacket (check out Joe's Jeans' Moto Jacket in Black or The Battalion's faux leather and faux fur Knox Jacket in Black) and her favorite shoes lately, Noritaka Tatehana's Night Makers platform (with no heel!). As outrageous as it is, there's no denying that if Lady Gaga can't pull this off, then no one can. What are your thoughts on her 'fit here, readers - do you feel that it's inappropriate for dinner at Mr. Chow or do you think that she's totally rockin' it? I'm sure you've seen the video that's quickly making its way around the internet of 12 year old Greyson Michael Chance's powerful rendition of her hit song "Paparazzi" - if you haven't, click here. Well, it seems that Gaga has seen the video too and has some tips for the young singer. She says, "You're so sweet and so talented. Just keep following your dreams and work really hard. Stay away from girls and be focused." Hopefully Greyson will heed Gaga's advice now that he's signed a deal with Interscope records. Congrats to the talented little guy!
Lady Gaga seen on Apr 13 2010 in Narita, Japan. The always eccentric Lady Gaga was spotted arriving at Narita International Airport in Narita, Japan on April 13, revealing an enviable white Hermes Birkin bag that she had taken a Sharpie to for her very own DIY graffiti message. Roughly translated as "I love little monster, Tokyo love," Gaga matched the message on her left arm. I totally can't believe that Gaga defaced - if you can call it that - her Birkin bag, but then again, there's actually pretty little that Gaga could do that would surprise me at this point. I guess when you're the world's biggest pop star, Birkins are at your disposal! I won't even try to suggest an outfit that's similar to Lady Gaga's structural button-up/capris with exaggerated hips... instead, I'll suggest pieces with a similar charcoal color scheme. Try Shumaq's Isa Skirt in Grey paired with Rail's Gina Shirt in Grey, or check out Walter's Textured Nylon Romper in Charcoal. And while there's OBVIOUSLY no substitute for a Birkin, Julie K Handbag's Robin Bag in Vanilla is quite nice. What are your thoughts of Gaga's look here, and the fact that she had a little DIY project with her Hermes bag? As if this wasn't newsworthy enough, Gaga recently spoke out about how she's giving sex a rest for a while. Says the pop star, "I can't believe I'm saying this — don't have sex. I'm single right now and I've chosen to be single because I don't have the time to get to know anybody. So it's OK not to have sex, it's OK to get to know people. I'm celibate, celibacy's fine. It's OK to be whomever it is that you want to be. You don't have to have sex to feel good about yourself, and if you're not ready, don't do it. And if you are ready, there are free condoms given away at my concerts when you're leaving! … I remember the cool girls when I was growing up. Everyone started to have sex. But it's not really cool anymore to have sex all the time. It's cooler to be strong and independent. Love it!
Lady Gaga seen on Apr 08 2010 in Sydney, Australia. Lady Gaga was caught by the paparazzi as she made her way into a recording studio in Sydney, Australia on April 8, donning an all-black ensemble that seems to be a little toned down compared to what she normally wears. Gaga started with a black maxi dress (take your pick of T by Alexander Wang's Classic Tank Dress in Black or Born Uniqorn's Beaded Halter Dress with Gold Braid in Black) and toted along a black quilted Chanel bag (with a rose inside, which I totally love), and strutted along in a pair of black patent leather lace-up super platforms (Gwyneth Shoes' Omyrah in Black are a bit more wearable yet still way stylish). She finished up her look with a pair of round sunnies and various black and silver rings - check out Iosselliani's Black/Silver Multi Rings for something different. This look is obviously completely Gaga from head to toe - but it works. I just love that she takes risks with fashion, and although they're not always understood by the general public, she has fun with it. In case you haven't heard, a Lady Gaga fan named Cole Goforth was recently in the news for being sent home from high school for wearing a t-shirt that said "I Heart Lady Gay Gay," which for the record Gaga sold at her Monster's Ball Tour. Gaga showed her support for her loyal fan by taking to her official Twitter and saying, "Thank u for wearing your tee-shirt proud at school, you make me so proud, at the monsterball, you are an inspiration to us all. I love you. I love you Cole, you just be yourself. You're perfect the way God made you." What do you think of the school's decision to send this boy home for wearing a shirt that said that? Whatever your opinion is, you have to admit it's pretty cool that Lady Gaga is so thankful for her fans' support and constantly encouraging them to be themselves!
