KP: I DO NOT HOOK UP

It seems like wherever she goes she lights up the room, and Katy Perry did just that at the new H&M store in Tokyo, Japan on May 26. Doing her best to stand out among the Harajuku girls, KP chose a glitzy silver mini dress for the night (you can’t go wrong with LaROK’s Sequin Patchwork Mini Dress in Grey or the Serengeti Tunic in Black Zebra, but if you prefer to cover your arms try PGD Style’s basic Joni Ruffle Mini Dress in Smoke), sticking to the metallic theme with strappy gold platforms and a freaky spike cuff (stick to safe studs like CC Skye’s Stud Woven Leather Bangles in Black/Silver). Seriously, she could put someone’s eye out with that! It wouldn’t be a typical Katy Perry ‘fit without some kitschy accessory, and the hot pink heart earrings add the perfect girly touch (add some fun to your ‘fit with Erica Anenberg’s adorable Baby Heart Hoop Earrings in Gold). What do you think of Katy's look? I don’t think she looks terrible, but I’m not a fan of the extreme side part, even if it does show off the cute little earrings. I wish someone would’ve fixed the lighting too – no one’s skin is that orange! At the press event kicking off H&M’s new “Fashion Against AIDS” line, Katy got on the mic and spoke a little about the cause. She’s been speaking out a lot lately, especially about men imparticular. She recently talked about hooking up and pretty much bashed all of her Hollywood friends: “For me, it’s not a past time, going out and meeting people and trying to hook up with people. That actually makes me feel disgusting. From a really early age, I was really sensitive to that.” Wonder if Katy’s Christian upbringing has anything to do with her opinion on the subject? KP also co-wrote Kelly Clarkson’s song “I Do Not Hook Up” off her recent album. Do you think she practices what she preaches?
