Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Caroline Dunst (born April 30, 1982) is an American actress, known for her roles in Interview with the Vampire (for which she received a Golden Globe nomination), The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, and Bring It On, as well as for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man film series. Her feature film breakthrough came in Interview with the Vampire, a 1994 film based on Anne Rice's novel. The movie featured a scene in which Dunst, then at age eleven, received her first kiss from Brad Pitt, who was 29. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination, the MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and the Saturn Award for Best Young Actress. In 1995 (and again in 2002), she was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People. Dunst was also offered the role of Angela in the 1999 Academy Award-winning film American Beauty, but turned it down because she did not want to appear in the film's suggestive sexual scenes or kiss co-star Kevin Spacey. The same year, she had the role of troubled adolescent Lux Lisbon in Sofia Coppola's independent film The Virgin Suicides. In 2000, she played the captain of a cheerleading squad in Bring It On. After briefly dating her longtime friend, playwright Jeff Smeenge, she started dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal in September 2002, after meeting him through his sister, Maggie (her Mona Lisa Smile co-star). They broke up in July 2004 but then dated intermittently until December 2005. She was recently seen with British rocker Johnny Borrell at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Dunst is known for her fashion style and has been featured on Richard Blackwell's famous Best Dressed List.

Kirsten Dunst seen on Mar 12 2013 in Hollywood, CA. Kirsten Dunst was seen posing on the red carpet of the premiere of her new film Upside Down, which was held at the ArcLight in Hollywood on March 12. For her premiere outfit, KD wore a classic chic Proenza Schouler black dress and shoes, along with a Stella McCartney bag and a pair of colorful Dior earrings. If you're into Kirsten's ensemble here and would like to recreate it for your next special occasion, start with Soul Revival's Brooklyn Dress in Black, which has a similar silhouette to Kirsten's dress with a slightly shorter hemline, and then add on Elegantly Waisted's Cummerbund Belt in Black and Hari Jewels' Yellow Sapphire Drop Earrings. Zambos & Siega's Mini Audrey Faux Snake in Green will add the perfect polished finishing touch. What are your thoughts on Kirsten's outfit for the occasion, everyone? Kirsten recently had a chat with SheKnows about her new sci-fi meets rom-com movie, and about how she's kind of a sucker for a good love story. Said KD: "It was such a different story than I had ever read before. I thought, 'This could be a very special film.' What else in this world is there but love?" So sweet!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 13 2012 in New York, NY. On The Road co-stars Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Stewart couldn't have been more different when it came to their style at the NYC premiere, which was held at the SVA Theater in NYC on December 13. Kirsten was the epitome of sophisticated chic in a Christian Dior coat dress, which she paired with black tights, the same Dior sandals that the model wore with this look on the runway, and a bold red lip. Kristen, on the other hand, left little to the imagination in a sheer Erdem ensemble, which consisted of a powder blue bra top and high waisted shorts under a see-through embellished top layer, which was considerably shortened from the runway version. Rosy makeup and a pair of neon Christian Louboutin pumps completed K.Stew's look. As one fashion blogger said of Kristen's look, "The actress has been wearing a lot of sheer dresses lately, but on this occasion she did what I thought was impossible – make an Erdem dress look cheap. Seriously, what was her stylist thinking? With the skirt being sheer, why did they feel the need to cut it so short? I’m horrified by what they have done to this dress. If this dress was on loan I hope she gets to keep it, because if I was the designers I wouldn’t want it back." Wow, do you agree with the strong sentiments when it comes to Kristen's look here? I'm also interested to know who you think worked their premiere ensemble better... Kirsten or Kristen? If you're interested in emulating each look, check out either Gold Hawk's Drape Back Shirt Dress in Black or Kay Unger's Front Zip Dress in Black for a frock similar to KD's, or to take on the sheer trend in a less revealing way than Kristen did, check out Zoa's Crinkle Embroidered Poncho in Seafoam. Karen Zambos' Haven Dress in Bombay is also visually similar to Kristen's dress, if you're into the color scheme there. Again, I'm interested to hear your thoughts... weigh in by leaving a comment below!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Nov 22 2012 in London, England. Kirsten Dunst was spotted going for a romantic stroll with beau Garrett Hedlund after having dinner at Christopher’s Grill and Bar in Covent Garden, London on November 22, as the two were in town to celebrate Thanksgiving. Kirsten even took to her Twitter account to wish all of her followers a "Happy Thanksgiving!" earlier in the day. For her night out in London look, KiKi paired a black maxi skirt (CP Shades' Lily in Black is a great basic) with a white shirt (like Free People's Rib Long Sleeve Tee in Ivory), and then topped things off with a cozy navy coat (for a unique option with a similar silhouette, try Nanette Lepore's Aristocrat Jacket in Black/Ivory). From there, Kirsten wore a pair of black heels and toted a leopard print bag (take a walk on the wild side with Zambos & Siega's Whitney Bag in Snake) to complete her ensemble. Thoughts on KD's outfit here, everyone? It seems as though Kirsten and Garrett are quite smitten with one another, as they haven't been shy about hiding their PDA while in London. According to E! Online, "The duo was spotted getting kissy on the streets of London during their evening, which included first hitting up a pub, then catching a movie, and finally rounding out their night with dinner at Vasco & Piero's Pavilion, a local Italian restaurant—all while strolling hand-in-hand (and lip-to-lip) down the city streets." Good for them!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jun 10 2012 in New York, NY. Kirsten Dunst was photographed going for a romantic stroll with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund in NYC on June 10, and the two were seen sharing a container of fresh watermelon as they made their way along the New York City streets. For her outfit, Kirsten paired a feminine printed Louis Vuitton dress (for two similarly printed frocks, check out either Vintage Havana's Printed Dress in Black or Meghan Los Angeles' Katrina Dress in Black/Grey) with black sandals (try Seychelles' Chant Heels in Black) and a pair of cat eye sunglasses. A black Louis Vuitton tote bag (for a slightly slouchier silhouette, take a look at Zambos & Siega's Mansfield in Black) provided the perfect finish for this polished ensemble. Is this your idea of fashionable street style, readers? In other KD news, it seems that the Melancholia actress had a great time recently throwing her childhood BFF a bachelorette party! Kirsten recently took to her Twitter account to say: "Being a maid-of-honor...not too shabby! According to E! Online, "Dunst hosted a bachelorette party for her BFF since childhood (and frequent red carpet companion) Molly and four of their gal pals in Mexico's St. Regis Punta Mita Resort. The three-day fiesta to say adios to singlehood read like a four-star brochure, with the gaggle of girls indulging in yoga on the beach, champagne dinners, a special BBQ on the terrace of their presidential suite, custom massages and being serenaded to live music from a Mexican quartet." Sounds like a ton of fun!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 27 2011 in West Hollywood, CA. Kirsten Dunst did her best to ignore the paparazzi as she headed back to her car after an afternoon of shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood on October 27 - perhaps grabbing the finishing touches for her Halloween costume? For her shopping outfit, KD kept it casual yet classy in a pair of straight leg jeans (try Citizens of Humanity's Ava Jean in Oasis) with a flowy silk top (check out either Akiko's Liquid Silk Flutter Top in Snow or Boulee's Dawn Top in Teal Power), and then accessorized practically with a black leather tote and strappy wedges (take a peek at Plenty by Tracy Reese's Bella Wedge Sandal in Nude). A pair of brown shades and her signature disheveled blonde locks finished off Kirsten's 'fit. Is this something you would wear for an afternoon of shopping, friends? In other Dunst news, it seems as though the "Bring It On" star has quite the closet overhaul ahead of her. She recently told T Magazine: "I'm currently cleaning out my closet of childish dresses. I want to start dressing like I'm 30. Some of the things I have are like, I can't wear this anymore, it's not cute. I don't shop for a long time. People bother you. I like it when I do a photo shoot and it's a fantasy of something. I knew the concept and I'm easy, you can dress me up." Well I guess this was one of her rare shopping sightings, then!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 04 2011 in New York, NY. Kirsten Dunst got all prettied up for the launch of Bulgari’s Le Gemme Eyewear Collection at Ilori Boutique in Soho on October 4, opting for a simple yet classic look for the swanky fete. In a Derek Lam Spring 2012 white maxi dress (for a similar, more casual option, try Meghan Los Angeles' Nadine Dress in Ivory), Kirsten accessorized with statement pieces such as Bulgari's Aida Clutch and gold Bulgari earrings. To make a statement when you're wearing a white dress, punch up your look with an attention grabbing clutch, like Julie K Handbags' Lynn in Python or Oryany's Sequin Navy Wristlet. Polish off your ensemble with a gorgeous pair of earrings, such as Calico Juno Designs' Victorian 61 in Gold and you'll be all set. What are your thoughts on KD's outfit here, everyone? Are you into it? Kirsten recently opened up about her bouts with depression - she sought treatment for depression in 2008 - and how it relates to her upcoming role in the film Melancholia. Says KD: "Lars (the director) opened up to me about his experience with depression and that in turn helped me open up. I would have done anything with Lars. I adore working with him. There's no one who's communicated emotion so simply and effectively to me than Lars. And he's funny and a joy to be around. We get along really well. Mostly the people around him, producers, costume designers are all female so it was a very nurturing set to be on. So I felt very free to be vulnerable in that environment." Very interesting!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Sep 10 2011 in Toronto, Canada. Kirsten Dunst looked gorgeous as she posed for photos at the premiere of her new film Melancholia during the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, that was held at the Ryerson Theatre in Toronto, Canada on September 10. For her outfit, KD paired a white Chanel maxi skirt with a navy and white Prada polka dot blouse, and then opted for strappy silver Prada sandals and bright blue gemstone earrings. To replicate this look with pieces from CoutureCandy, start with either Splendid's Polka Dot Blouse in Navy or Free People's Polka Dot Crinkle Top in Navy Combo and wear with Free People's Cascade Convertible Skirt in Ivory. Then, all you need is a statement-making pair of earrings, such as Satya Jewelry's Crown Jewel Earrings in Blue Topaz. Voila! Insta-glam. Dunst has been generating a lot of positive buzz for her portrayal of a depressed bride whose relationship with her sister (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) is complicated when a planet is on a collision course with Earth. In fact, Kirsten won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for the role! Of the honor, KD says: "It's such a special award. I was so honored and so grateful for it, too. I've been working for so long. It's such a prestigious award. I was really lucky that they allowed the film to still be in competition. They have to deliberate about that." She continued, "To a lot of people, I'm still the girl from Spider-Man. Which is fine." Ha!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Mar 13 2011 in Los Feliz, CA. Enjoying a sunny Sunday in Los Feliz, Kirsten Dunst takes a walk with Rilo Kiley drummer boyfriend Jason Boesel on March 13. Her romantic midday outing culminated the end of a relaxing weekend for Kiki, and from these photos of her leaving the Belle Visage Day Spa the Friday before it looks like she needed some time to unwind! Kirsten ventured out on her midday date with her man in a flirty floral Express mini dress (check out the similar print of Single Dress' Mini Dress with Chain in Multi) with a pair of red criss-cross strap sandals (love the mixed colors of Farylrobin's Rambo Sandal in Snake) and a tan blazer over her arm (similar to Joie's Harlow Jacket in Tan). Kiki carried a tan chain strap purse over her shoulder (like Julie K Handbags' Lorri Chain in Cognac), wearing her shoulder length hair in natural waves and talking animatedly with her man as they strolled around. What do you think of Kirsten's casual sunny style, does it work for her? She looks like she's doing alright these days, and from a few interviews lately it seems as though she's turned her sights from acting to fashion. After mentioning to WWD she'd like to collaborate on a collection soon, she chatted with Sydney Morning Herald on how she defines her personal style: “[It] is influenced by a new take on classics. Less is more to me. If I see someone who looks beautiful, I don’t see a woman who needs to wear the latest bag. True style is not dependent on that.” I wonder if she felt this way before her own trendy Marc Jacobs bag was stolen, if it changed her perception or if she was always indifferent to labels. What is your personal take on style, do you keep up with the latest trends and hottest labels or do you like the dress to the beat of your own drum?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Feb 15 2011 in New York, NY. Taking the front seat during New York Fall 2011 Fashion Week, Kirsten Dunst sits front and center at the Rodarte show on February 15, taking her place next to director Sofia Coppola, who directed Kiki's 1999 film The Virgin Suicides. Kirsten played up old fashioned charm in this look, starting with a flirty polka dot frock with a deep mesh v revealing a lacy bra underneath (get your polka dot fix with Luc by Lucy's Abstract Polka Dot Dani Dress in Peach Polka or try an option with more coverage like Meghan Los Angeles' Pierra Dress in Black). Kirsten toned down the sex appeal with an angled crop blazer (similar to Ella Moss' Campbell Blazer in Black), sheer noir stockings and a pair of black pumps (like Loeffler Randall's Wood Heel Pump in Black). What do you think of Kirsten's sophisticated femme look, does it work for her? Her posture could use some work, but otherwise I think she looks very put together here. While this event blends Kiki's love of fashion with her career as an actress, she's taking on a new endeavor as a model this season. Kirsten is the new face of Mon Jasmin Noir, a new Bulgari fragrance. The just-released ad features Kirsten gently covered with cloth, holding a giant perfume bottle while perched next to a lion – yes, a real lion! I have to say she looks gorgeous in the photo, even if it does look heavily airbrushed. What are your thoughts?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jan 27 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking ecstatic to be reunited with her man, Kirsten Dunst is greeted by Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel after landing at LAX in Los Angeles on January 27. Kiki was returning from a brief trip to Paris, where she took in the Chanel Haute Couture show from a front row seat. I have to give her credit that for once, even after an international flight, Kirsten has managed to look cute and casual without looking like a slob. What a feat! Kiki put her look together with a bordeaux textured blazer (like HellOh's Crinkled Jacket in Red) over a grey tank (give it a more fashion forward feel with Joes Jeans' Racer Tank in Smoke Grey) and indigo skinnies (check out Chasely's Denim Legging in Overdye Blue), wearing a pair of comfy black flats (try a sturdy sole like Palladium's Pallabrouse Boot in Black/Vapor for your next airport trek) as she towed her luggage out of the terminal. What do you think of Kirsten's casual look, do you like that she's adding a little color with her blazer? All I have to say is that Kirsten must be very into her man to step off the plane looking so fresh faced! While Kiki spends a lot of time in LA, you can bet she's going straight to her man's place here – but before you jump to dirty conclusions, it's not what you think! Kirsten recently revealed in an interview that she's in between dwellings in Los Angeles, explaining: “I live at my mom’s right now. I don’t have a house in LA any more. It’s great. I live there and go out to my favorite Valley spots like Hugo’s Tacos, Artisan Cheese Gallery. Oh, it’s so good there!” Sounds like she's a little too comfy with this arrangement! Have any of you made the move back home in light of the current economy?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jan 15 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Turning up the glamour, Kirsten Dunst makes a dramatic appearance at the Art of Elysium's 4th Annual Black Tie "Heaven" Charity Gala in Los Angeles on January 15. In addition to raising money to make a difference, the evening featured a Vogue fashion show, which surely inspired Kiki to go all out in Rodarte at the event. Kirsten arrived in a bold mixed print frock with a black and white blouson bodice and a pale green tulip wrap skirt (if you like the contrasting look, try mixing prints like Loeffler Randall's Graphic Dress in Black, Meghan Los Angeles' Daffidil Mini in Pink Print or Rachel Pally's Neomi Long Sleeve Dress in Print). Kirsten paired her frock with a pair of demure t-strap heels (add a quirky touch I'm sure Kiki would appreciate with Farylrobin's Jayden in Black), finishing the look with dark smoky eyes and blood red lipstick. I personally think her makeup is a little too vampire-esque for the dress, but I have to point out that compared to Kiki's usual drab looks, this one is anything but mundane. Thoughts? In light of her recent roles in All Good Things and Somewhere, Kirsten has been giving plenty of interviews lately, and even took time to dwell on a somber period that many fans have wondered about: her 2008 stint in rehab. Kirsten explained her hesitation to speak out about her depression with BlackBook magazine for the Dec/Jan 2011 issue: “On a personal level, I would talk to anybody about it, but not on a public level. If I do that, then the next person feels like they can ask me about it, and the person after that, until everyone then feels entitled to ask me about it, and that’s not coming from a good place.” Can't say I blame her for wanting a little privacy, but I do hope she's doing okay nowadays. Do you agree with her guarded stance?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 23 2010 in Hollywood, CA. Grabbing a few last minute gifts, Kirsten Dunst makes her way around Hollywood to do a little shopping on December 23. The blonde beauty dashed around town in a cute pair of studded wedge heels, but it looks like she wasn't moving fast enough as Kiki came back to her Prius to find a parking ticket after her shopping spree. Not the best way to get in the Christmas spirit! For her afternoon on the go, Kirsten paired her fun footwear with faded straight leg jeans (like AG Jeans' Premiere in 5 Year 2 Way), a mustard yellow button down blouse (add some color with Mason's Double Collar Blouse in Cobalt) and a black overcoat (check out Tart's General Jacket in Black). Kiki carried a versatile black bag (try Julie K Handbags' Robin in Black, topping the look with a big pair of dark sunnies as she made her way back to her ride. What do you think of her laidback look? I'm definitely digging the booties! In light of her new indie flick All Good Things currently in theatres, Kirsten took time to reflect on her journey as an actress in a recent interview with BlackBook magazine: "I used to assume that I’d do this forever, and then there came a point in my life when I was like, Why am I doing this at all? With All Good Things, I realized that acting is what I’m meant to be doing, and not for the money or to make a hit, but because I love it. For the first time, acting became more about me than everybody else, and that was amazingly cathartic." Growing up is never a bad thing! Have any of you had a chance to see Kiki in her new role?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Nov 29 2010 in New York, NY. Looking like quite the chic traveler, Kirsten Dunst arrives at a friend's apartment in NYC with a small suitcase on November 29. Kiki came into town for the premiere of her new suspense drama All Good Things, arriving bundled up in a long wool trench (try Hard Tail's Fleece Fur Collar Jacket in Black) over dark skinnies (love the faded, vintage feel of Rock Revival's Amy Skinny 03 in Amy) and black ankle boots (like Farylrobin's Beth Ankle Boot in Black). Kirsten carried a black flap bag with a chain strap dangling over her arm (check out Whiting & Davis' White Snake Mesh Hobo in Gun Metal), chatting it up on her cell with her patterned weekend tote in her other hand (try Whiting & Davis' Deco Mesh Tote in Pewter for your winter mini-getaways). What do you think of Kiki's traveling clothes, it's a chic improvement from her normal laidback style, don't you think? Kirsten's new film had a slow start at the box office this weekend, but audience's reactions to her nude shower scene with Ryan Gosling should help things pick up a little. Kirsten joked with ET about how she felt during the filming: “Honestly, [nudity] is like nothing to me. But yeah, doing sex scenes are weirder than being nude, I think. It’s just ’cause you’re really faking everything, so it’s not hot at all. It’s just weird!” Yes, being naked in a shower with Ryan Gosling – totally weird, right? Definitely nothing sexy about that!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Nov 14 2010 in Pasadena, CA. Winding down the weekend, Kirsten Dunst is spotted heading to dinner with her mama in Pasadena on November 14. Compared to her glamorous evening out at MOCA in downtown LA the night before, Kiki toned things down with a casual plaid dress (check out Jenny Han's Balenciaga Dress in Plaid) with a pair of lace front flats (like Farylrobin's Gladys Mary Jane Flat in Black) and a black tote with a gold chain strap over her shoulder (check out Julie K Handbags' Renee Flap Shoulder Bag in Black). Kirsten kept her peepers shaded with black cat-eye sunnies, carrying a cozy cardi to ward off the fall chill (layer up in Heather's Light 2 Button Cardi in Dark Heather). For her dinner with mom, Kiki cleaned up her hair and even smiled for the paparazzi as she made her way into a restaurant for dinner. I wonder how much her style might improve if she had her mom around more often! As I mentioned before, the previous evening Kirsten attended the Museum of Contemporary Art's annual gala benefit, which was sponsored by Chanel Fine Jewelry – no surprise then that Kiki and Ginnifer Goodwin both arrived in gorgeous Chanel gowns! Last year's event attracted superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and this year's crowd managed to surpass their presence with Gwen Stefani, Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth and plenty of other celebs in attendance to raise a cool $3 million for the museum. Art, celeb sightings and a little charitable action – what's not to love about this Saturday evening soiree?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 31 2010 in Studio City, CA. Enjoying some weekend relaxation, Kirsten Dunst gets in the Halloween spirit with a mani pedi in Studio City, CA on October 31. On the one occasion when it's acceptable to be a little bit of a scrub, Kiki actually looks cute as she heads out of the salon in a festive Alexa Chung for Madewell bat tee (say hello in French with Rebel Yells' Bonjour Football T in Grey) tucked into denim cut-offs (like Tag Jeans' Lima Cut Off Short in Canyon) with a skinny braided belt (similar to Hollywood Trading Company's Fish Bone in Cognac). Kirsten carried a pebbled messenger bag over her shoulder (add a little fall color with Rocco e Dante Handbags' Hancock Crossbody Oversized Clutch in Purple), carefully clutching her keys with dark sunnies shielding her peepers. What do you think of Kiki's casual day look? I just don't understand her style – if she looks this normal during the day, why does it always go so downhill at night? Such a mystery! Speaking of other mysteries, the release of Kiki's newest film, All Good Things, is finally set to premiere in early December. Kiki stars alongside Ryan Gosling in the film, depicting the tormented son of New York real estate tycoon whose wife (played by Kirsten) mysteriously vanishes. The flick is based on the true story of Robert Durst and his first wife Kathie, although names were changed in the film to avoid legal drama with the Durst family. From the sneak peaks so far it looks like this one will be interesting – are any of you true crime fans excited to see Kiki on the big screen again?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 08 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Making a rare appearance out, Kirsten Dunst looks happy after spending a night with friends including beau Jason Boesel at the Maroon 5 concert at the Greek Theatre in LA on October 8. Kiki's isn't exactly taking a break from her normal frumpy attire here, but I think her joyful smile does wonders for her drab overcoat (opt for Soul Revival's lighter Jill Vest in Black instead), worn over a white tunic (like Tt Collection's Shannen Top in White) with black skinny pants (try Joe's Jeans' booty flattering Chelsea Hi Ponte in Black) and fierce lace-up booties (I'm loving Rock & Republic's Ginny Crystal Mesh Bootie in Black). Kirsten carried a grey quilted clutch (check out Linea Pelle's Dylan Perforated Disco Clutch in Sand) and spiced up the look with black and bronze dangling earrings (try the appropriately named Bohemian Earrings in Silver from Ija Designs). What do you think of Kiki's free spirited look, is her style improving or will she always be a little helpless in the fashion department? I wasn't thinking this was so bad, until I saw photos of her from two nights earlier at Troubadour nightclub in Hollywood committing quite a faux pas. Same leggings, same shoes, same purse, same hair even – did she think there weren't going to be cameras involved? Not that it's a crime to wear your favorite pieces multiple times a week, but please, switch it up for your own good, Kiki!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jun 26 2010 in New York, NY. For all her snooze-worthy fashion choices, Kirsten Dunst redeemed herself immensely after being spotted in NYC on June 26. Kiki was out looking adorably lovey-dovey with her new beau, Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel, as the two took a romantic Saturday stroll in SoHo. This is the one sighting that you can't deny vintage silhouettes work for Kirsten, as she makes this Miu Miu frock mixing their classic red swallow and naked ladies prints look effortless. Even with the high sailor inspired collar and harsh puff sleeves, this is a one of a kind look and I'm happy to see it work for Kiki (stand out this summer in a bold mixed print dress by Meghan Los Angeles like the Gannon Dress in Turquoise or the Vail Dress in White). While a dress with this much going on would be difficult for some to pull off, Kiki makes it work for the everyday, playing up the old fashioned style with black ballet flats (love the detail on the toes of Coye Nokes' classy Grace Flat in Black Patent) and a simple black pocketbook (Linea Pelle's Dylan Disco Clutch in Black is one of my go-to styles). It's fitting that Kiki can pull this off as she is a former Miu Miu campaign star, but are you readers loving this as much as I am? I just hope she can keep up the great style for awhile!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jun 24 2010 in New York, NY. Making a fresh faced return to New York, Kirsten Dunst was spotted with a new haircut and new boyfriend while shopping in SoHo on June 24. Kiki has reportedly been dating Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel, and things must definitely be official as the two made a trip to the trendy Japanese boutique UNIQLO on their afternoon out together. While Kiki isn’t exactly your typical fashionista, I have to respect her ability to pull off vintage styles and that's exactly why I like this otherwise dowdy look. On a warm summer day Kirsten cooled off in a breezy cotton shirtdress (try Joe's Jeans' Black & White Shirt Dress in Black/White or Voom by Joy Han's Denim Judy ¾ Sleeve Dress in Denim), wearing casual black sandals (just like Farylrobin's Wilson in Black) with a petite messenger pouch slung across her torso (check out Antoinette Lee's Mia Bag in Navy Shimmer, which also comes in Black and Gold for easy styling). Her new cropped hairstyle and uber dark Ray Bans complete this easy summer look. What do you readers think, is it too plain or does it work for her? I'm loving the easy, pouch-like style of her purse, which seems perfectly practical for summer travels. Unlike most girls, Kirsten learned her lesson running around with a giant oversized tote after her Marc Jacobs bag was stolen from her hotel room last year, full of loot including her iPod, digital camera and a wad of cash. Kiki had to take the stand twice at two different trials to put the burglar behind bars, but the thief was officially found guilty at the culmination of the second trial earlier this month. Victory for Kiki!

Kirsten Dunst seen on May 23 2010 in Cannes, France. Kirsten Dunst brightens up the red carpet with a bold blue frock at the closing Palme d'Or Award Ceremony at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival on May 23 in Cannes, France. I love that Kirsten is looking so old Hollywood glam these days! For the final ceremony at the French film festival, Kiki brightened up in a vintage inspired Chanel long dress (brighten up in Sky's Vibeke Dress in Turquoise or Poko Pano's comfortable Arabella Long Dress in Turquoise) with gorgeous taupe stilettos (similar to Gwyneth Shoes' Omyrah in Gold ). I'm not sure the high neck style would work for anyone, but with graceful shoes and a sparking diamond bracelet (add some shine with Amrita Singh's Bonbel Bangle in Silver) Kiki wears it well. Her lovely old fashioned hair 'do the classic red pout also add a nice touch. What are your thoughts on this look readers, is it Cannes appropriate? Things are looking up for Kiki despite her legal woes, and while she had the honor to show her short film Bastard at the festival, she's due back in court this week to testify against the man accused of robbing her Soho hotel room a few years ago. Two men are accused of snatching Kiki's $2,000 Balenciaga bag filled with cash, cards, iPods and more from the suite she shared with co-star Simon Pegg while the hotel was rented out for the filming of their movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate People three years ago. One of the guys got a plea deal and has been serving time for the crime, but his friend claims he was "too dumb" to know a crime was being committed when he "trespassed" into Kiki's unlocked hotel room. Sounds fishy to me! The first trial ended in a hung jury, so Kirsten will be taking the stand for the second time as the new trial gets underway. Bummer for Kiki – hope it swings in her favor this time!

Kirsten Dunst seen on May 20 2010 in Antibes, France. Dazzling on the red carpet in Cannes, Kirsten Dunst debuts a very sophisticated look at amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS charity benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France on May 20. This grown up look definitely made me do a double take – I can hardly believe it's Kiki under this gorgeous gown! Kirsten got all dolled up at the event in a stunning Chanel Fall 2009 Couture frock with a sheer train and sleeves embellished with crystal accents (for your next formal affair try one of Sue Wong's decadent gowns like the Beaded Gown with Deep V-Back in Black/Nude or the Beaded Halter Long Gown in Black). Kiki wisely let the dress speak for itself and added elegant satin slingbacks (I love the elegant knot detail on Gwyneth Shoes' Paulette in Black) and keeping her jewelry minimal save for a pair of exquisite diamond earrings (add some sparkle with Anna Beck's Sulawesi Silver Chandelier Earrings in Silver). Tres chic, non? I truly am amazed at how elegant Kirsten looks at this event, down to the smoky eyes and shiny blonde locks. Her hairstyle of choice is a little off, but I think the curled under look makes her look more mature. After all, Kiki is presenting her short film "Bastard" at the film festival, and she certainly looks the part of a mature director! What are your thoughts on Kirsten's makeover?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Apr 23 2010 in New York, NY. After getting some much needed R&R, Kirsten Dunst steps back into the spotlight at the 9th Annual Tribeca Film Festival in NYC on April 23. It's not often I say Kiki looks radiant, but in this case she's absolutely glowing in her flirty chiffon frock with baby ruffles on the bodice (capture the girly, floral spring look with Gold Hawk's Morph Print Short Dress in Peach or the dainty Floral Eyelet Dress in White) and bright red lipstick adding a pop of color. Kirsten got it right with loose, slightly messy waves in her hair, but unfortunately this lightweight, fresh spring look ends with a thud at KD's boring black pumps. She always seems hit or miss in this department and this is definitely one big miss! Go for something lighter with an edge like Coye Nokes' Jacqueline 70 Peep Toe in Sabbia. As a final note Kiki wore a pretty ring adding a dash of sparkle (I love Megan Greene's glittering options like Ninotchka in Oyster/Silver). What do you think of Kirsten's return to the red carpet, do you see an improvement here? It's almost as if there's a new twinkle in her eye! It may be attributed to her second short film Bastard, which was shown at the festival as part of the "Between the Lines" capsule collection. The film has reportedly gotten such great reactions that it has been added to the Cannes Film Festival line-up this year. Congrats, Kiki!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Feb 06 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking annoyed after waiting in some long lines at LAX, Kirsten Dunst catches a departing flight from the Los Angeles airport on February 6. I don't often have positive things to say about Kiki's style, but I'm loving the polished, subtly trendy vibe she's got going on. KD started with black tights under black cuffed shorts (like Hudson's Hayden Signature Short in Black), a cream colored blouse (try Da Nang's casual 3/4 Sleeve Embroidered Blouse in Opal), camel overcoat (keep it classy in Suzabelle's Nicolet Trench Coat in Classic Taupe) and printed scarf (check out A Graves' Floral Print in Marino Wool Brown). From there she added black accessories, opting for black suede ankle boots (try the similar shape of Gwyneth Shoes' Langston Ankle Boot in Black), two black carry on bags (my latest obsession is Tylie Malibu's Jett Bag in Black, large enough for travel and small enough for everyday use) and stealthy sunnies keeping her peepers covered. She could still use a little help in the hair and makeup department, but I think this is a vast improvement compared to her everyday looks of the past, don't you think? It's not an easy look to pull off, but I'm especially loving the boots with the tights and shorts. Are any of you finding ways to show off your gams in chilly temps like this? Unlike Halle Berry last week, KD received no special treatment in the security line, and even had to remove her ankle boots before stepping through the screening machine! Maybe it's a good thing to see a celeb not requesting special treatment, but Kiki pulled out all the stops the weekend before while celebrating her BFF Jessica's birthday in Sin City. KD treated her pal and a group of friends, including Rilo Kiley lead singer Jenny Lewis and Kiki's new love, drummer Jason Boesel, to a weekend of birthday shenanigans. Beginning with a private dinner at Lavo in the Palazzo, followed by bottle service in the club and late night partying at Tao in the Venetian, the night ended at the blackjack tables before the ladies got their beauty sleep and continued to party the following night at a private table at Tao Beach. From their swanky itinerary I wish I was Kiki's BFF! Wonder if there's room for one more in their entourage?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jan 23 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoying a Saturday night out, Kirsten Dunst was spotted out with friends at Chateau Marmont in LA on January 23. Among her guests included a mystery gentleman she was also snapped getting coffee with last week – wonder if love is in the air in the New Year for Kiki? Giving off a relaxed vibe while catching up with her friends, Kirsten paired a vintage inspired floral top (try one of 3J Workshop's floral options like Southern Belle Top in Floral or the Ring of Roses Blouse in Rose) with black skinnies (don't miss Hudson's super comfy Colin Skinny Pant in Black), carrying a black leather jacket (love Mike & Chris' Wesley Motorcycle Jacket in Black). Love that she accessorized with an easy black tote and black motorcycle boots (they're a slightly different style, but I love Farylrobin's Ulsan in Charcoal), keeping it simple. Kiki wore her hair half up, half down and minimal makeup, giving off a surprisingly youthful look –but not disheveled as she sometimes appears. Very nicely done, I think – what are your thoughts on this 'fit, readers? As some of you may have heard, it was recently announced that Spider-Man 4 is in the works, but will not be starring any of the original cast. Kiki and evil villain co-star James Franco chatted with E! recently about the end of their saga together: “It’s sad to see it end. I think for [director Sam Raimi] it was time for him to move on, and so we’re all going to move on with him. But we’ve had a good 10 years.” Has it really been that long since the first Spiderman flick came out? Now I feel old!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jan 09 2010 in Silverlake, CA. Enjoying the calm before the flurry of spring awards shows, Kirsten Dunst gets her java fix in Silverlake, CA on January 9 on a stroll with a mystery man. The duo not only picked up extra iced lattes, KD carried 2 bags of beans as well. Wonder where they're off to with all that? On this particular warm winter day, Kiki started with a striped pink vintage style dress (love Fernanda Carneiro's Slub Short Sleeve Dress in Berry or Splendid's comfy Stripe Dress in Berry/Charcoal) with black ballet flats (like Coye Noke's Amelia Flat in Black), a navy fleur de lis messenger pouch (Antoinette Lee's Mia Bag in Aqua has a similar shape) and her fav black Ray Bans. Loving the retro vibe she has going on with the dress, but as always I wish she'd find a more flattering hairstyle. There's nothing wrong with going au naturale, but a little de-frizzing cream is never a bad thing! What do you think of Kiki's laid back look?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Sep 07 2009 in New York, NY. Kirsten Dunst emerges in SoHo, NYC on September 7 while enjoying Labor Day weekend with a girlfriend. I have to say she's looking very healthy despite decent rumors she's returned to her partying ways - what do you readers think? On her afternoon stroll Kiki wore a conservative navy sheath dress (like Graham and Spencer's Cinch Waist Dress in Navy) with a bleached denim jacket and strappy sandals, carrying a casual canvas tote (I would pair Antoinette Lee's Stella Tote in Striped Canvas with the above dress) with a simple charm necklace (like Kimberly Faith's Sign Triple Charm Necklace in Gold) decorating her 'fit. The blonde waves look so much healthier than her usual tresses, don't you think? Over the weekend KD was spotted at the Jane Hotel with a few friends, dancing and smoking but apparently abstaining from alcohol. A witness told Page Six: “She had two bodyguards hovering over her at all times who were monitoring her. Still, she looked like she was having fun.” Kiki was in rehab last year but publicly said she was treated for depression, not alcohol or drugs. Still, friends have commented recently on her occasionally out of control drinking habits, which were on display at the Tropicana Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel and The Room nightclub in LA earlier this month. A witness told National Inquirer - keep the source in mind! - that Kiki was up to no good while out with a mystery male: "Kirsten looked completely wasted and holding on to some random guy. When he asked her what she was drinking, she told him to order her a double vodka on the rocks - straight vodka! He ordered himself a whiskey, got her a double and they staggered off into the crowd." She's only 27 so I can't blame Kirsten for wanting to have a little fun, but do you think it sounds like she's setting herself up for rehab again?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Aug 06 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Here's something we only see once in a blue moon: Kirsten Dunst looking lovely in Miu Miu at the 5th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival Celebration soiree on August 6 in Los Angeles. Held at the DGA Theatre, Kiki makes her directorial debut with Demi Moore on the red carpet. Both ladies had their films shot by cinematographer Darren Lew and made the cut to have their work shown on opening night. Who says girls can't make it as directors? Kirsten worked the red carpet in a gorgeous Miu Miu strapless dress (you can buy the dress for $1,180, but you can look just as stunning at a fraction of the cost in frocks like Lotta Stensson's Shirred Tube Dress in Peacock, Rebecca Taylor's Strapless Dress in Cosair Navy or the Summer Cocktail Dress in Midnight). Love the sweetheart neckline and murky cobalt shade with her cleaned up blonde tresses. Just wish she'd picked more exciting footwear! The final touch: a dainty charm necklace (like Maya Brenner's The Everything Necklace in Gold), smoky eyes and a tinted pout. Très chic, no? I mean, even her hair looks great – this is definitely the first time her bleached tresses have looked healthy in at least a year! Kiki's 13-minute short Welcome actually debuted last summer at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, where I'm assuming it did well enough to be featured in the festival this summer. The HollyShorts festival is running this week in Hollywood until August 12. Check out the film schedule online and browse other amateur and student filmmakers' screenings. Will any of you be in attendance?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jun 15 2009 in New York, NY. Cleaning up her act for a night with fashion's finest, Kirsten Dunst arrives at the CFDA Awards at the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center in NYC on June 15. Now, this look is quite a contrast to her normal disheveled appearance, but I'm not convinced she deserves to be on the Best Dressed list as some critics have swooned over this look. I'll admit, when I first saw the pictures of Kirsten in this off-shoulder wrap mini (if you like the smoky shade check out Lotta Stensson's Circle Gather Dress in Grey, Cake Couture's Olivia Foil Tunic in Grey or Qi's Ruffled Tank Dress in Pale Heather Grey), Craft Time with KiKi popped into my mind. Step one: cut strips of newspaper. Step two: roll some marbles dipped in paint over the paper. Step 3: wrap oneself like a mummy and attend the CFDA Awards. What else can you say? Then I continued reading that the dress is by Rodarte, and the Mulleavy sisters took home the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year. Even if my first instincts about the design were wrong, I was right about the marbling - the dress is actually hand-marbled silk chiffon and tulle, done at the craft table just like I pictured it. Ok, nice move Kiki, your stylist picked the right dress, but is it right for you? I can't say the shades of gray look bad on Kirsten's pale frame, but I think there are probably more flattering hues for her complexion. Or at least more exciting. I do love the black and gray buckle heels by Nicholas Kirkwood, complemented by the slender silver clutch (if you need something a little roomier try CC Skye's LuLu Day Bag in Grey), but I'm not sure about the heavy black eyeliner. I guess Kirsten needed to be a little daring with her makeup since she skipped jewelry, but do you think brighter lips or more exciting hair would have been a better direction? There's just something about the whole look that seems not quite right to me – are any of you picking up on the same vibe?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Apr 19 2009 in Indio, CA. It's no secret Kirsten Dunst loves a good party, and she made her way out to Indio, CA last weekend for three days of the Coachella music festival to do just that. According to onlookers, Kiki arrived on Friday night and hung out in the VIP area, preoccupied with her Blackberry and countless cigarettes as Morrissey took the stage. On Sunday April 19, Kiki was spotted in this flirty little frock while relaxing on the grass with an icy beverage and a mysterious fellow in a straw hat. Wonder who Kiki has moved on to now - and if he's the same lucky man spotted out in LA with her a week ago! While enjoying the many musical acts, KD meandered around in a loose fitting tunic with a floral cut-out neckline (check out Cake Couture's Mexico Pleated Top in White), wearing simple flip-flops and while carrying a vintage flap bag (play up the eclectic vibe with Carla Mancini's Postman Clutch in Multi). It's a pretty sloppy look but I have to admit I like the tunic dress. Can't you see it with frayed denim shorts like Tag Jean's Lima Cut Off Short in Royal Vintage and espadrilles? So much potential! Wearing her signature Wayfarers and a couple of woven bracelets (try layering a few Single Leather Bracelets by Accessories & Beyond, which come in a myriad of candy colors) along with her wristband, Kiki looked like she enjoyed herself even if it was a little steamy in the desert. Did any of you make your way out there for the festivities? Back in LA-LA Land, talks about the Spiderman 4 sequel have been in the works for quite some time, but there's some question as to whether or not Kiki will reappear as Mary Jane for a fourth time. No one knows for sure if it's Kirsten refusing to commit or if the studio execs wised up and decided to find a real actress, but my money is on the studio. I mean, it's not like Kiki has a lot going on career wise (How to Lose Friends and Alienate People wasn't exactly her best film) so I don't see how she could be crazy enough to turn down such a high-profile role! Sony is tight-lipped about the project, but director Sam Raimi dished a little info: “Right now, [scriptwriter] David Lindsay-Abaire is working on a draft of the new picture. And he’s hard at work, and hopefully we’ll see something in about three months.” Guess we'll have to wait and see how the casting pans out!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Mar 25 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Kirsten Dunst has been staying away from the shutterbugs lately, but she ventured out in Los Angeles on March 25. Enjoying the winter sunshine, Kiki picked up food to go from Joan’s on Third with a girlfriend before heading over to the park at the La Brea Tar Pits. The pair met up with two male friends and spent the afternoon stretched on a blanket having a seemingly great time. For her afternoon fun in the sun, Kiki wore basic skinny jeans (try Tag Jeans’ super comfy Skinny 5 Pocket Jean in Medium Stone) with a timeless white tee (spice it up with Ecoganik’s Supima Jersey Sleeve Pin Tuck Top in White) and coordinating white flats. Staying hydrated and carrying a brown shoulder bag (check out Carla Mancini’s Messenger Bag in Honey Glaze), Kiki rocked her fav Ray Bans and laughed it up with her pals. What do you think of the uber casual look? On a less sunny note, it looks like Kirsten is still dealing with her stolen purse incident from last year. If you recall, Kiki had her Balenciaga bag full of cash, her camera and about $2000 worth of loot inside snatched from her hotel room in NYC while filming How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. The crooks were caught on camera, so the first plead guilty and got four years in jail for the crime. The second burglar, James Jimenez, has a trial date scheduled in May and it looks like Kiki might have to testify against him. You’d think the whole ordeal would be over by now since the purse was stolen over the summer in 2007! Have any of you had to deal with prolonged legal battles over stolen items like this?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 19 2008 in Hollywood, CA. Not missing a chance to toast to the holidays, Kirsten Dunst stumbled out of Bardot nightclub in Hollywood on Dec 19 for the second time last week. Though her first night out was spent with a gal pal, this time Kiki was escorted out of the bar by a mystery man helping her keep her balance. Clad in a typical lackluster ensemble, KD started with an old fashioned polka dot frock (create your own holiday look with Zoa’s Polka Dot Ruffle Blouse in Black with a loose skirt like Shumaq’s Satin Bell Skirt in Black) with a long camel hooded overcoat (try Ingwa Melero’s elegant Velvet Coat with Frog Closure in Espresso) and comfy wedge heels. Feeling festive with her cherry red Chanel purse (though it’s a different shape, Rocco e Dante’s Rocco East West Bag in Red Patent is to die for), matching lacquered nails and lips, at least Kiki looked like she enjoyed her fun filled night. What do you think of the ‘fit? Though the night out was a bit premature, KD did have something important to celebrate over the weekend: a Los Angeles judge awarded her request for a permanent restraining order against her psycho stalker Christopher R. Smith. After he was arrested trying to break into her home in November, Mr. Smith was placed under a 72 hour psychiatric hold, during which he claimed that he and Kirsten have a “spiritual connection” spanning from a past life. In his statement to police, Mr. Smith said: “I’m in love with Kirsten, so I went to her house, I don’t want to go to jail. I hope to get off with a warning. I connected with Kirsten spiritually, I felt like I connected with her and she connected with me. Now I don’t know if she did, I guess you have to ask her if she connected.” With all the crazies in the world, hopefully this one will be deterred by the seriousness of the restraining order – for Kiki’s sake!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 17 2008 in Hollywood, CA. Not letting the unrelenting rain prevent her from having a good time, Kirsten Dunst stumbled out of Bardot late at night on December 17. Exiting the popular Hollywood club with a gal pal steadying her stride, Kiki rocked a flamboyantly short charcoal mini dress (try PGD Style’s Rachel Turtle Neck Dress in Smoke) with black ribbed thigh highs, black pumps and a classy black overcoat (like Shumaq’s Corinnes Coat in Black). Letting her gray quilted chain strap pocketbook (similar to Julie K’s Gigi Mini Bag in Pewter) swing freely at her side, Kiki accented her ‘fit with a flashy silver band ring (like Femme Metale’s Crown Ring in Silver) and festive poinsettia red nail polish. Though she looks quite inebriated, this is one of the few times I have nothing bad to say about KD’s choice of dress – except maybe to add a few inches to the hem to cover up those pasty white thighs. Guess Kiki stayed out of the sun when she was in Miami last week! I must also comment that this is the second time in a month that KD has been seen noticeably intoxicated in public. Less than a year after her stint in rehab, perhaps Kiki’s partying is spiraling out of control once again? Recently commenting on her teenage years spent building her acting career, KD shed some light on her desire to let loose: “I was always very responsible and sensible. I went through my teens like an adult, always being careful not to stay out too late or get myself into trouble. I was working and getting up very early to be on film sets. I become isolated. I felt like the one with the responsibility who made important decisions." It seems the tables have turned now, with Kiki turning up in more hot nightspots than big screen flicks these days. Do you think it may be time for an intervention?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 04 2008 in Miami, FL. Soaking up the brilliant sunshine in Miami with a hefty dose of art and culture, Kirsten Dunst headed south for the Art Basel 2008 fair on Dec 4. Strolling with an icy Starbucks drink, Kiki tucked a black spaghetti strap tank (try PGD Style’s Fancy Tank in Black), sans bra, into a loose fitting white skirt (try Shumaq’s Linen Pencil Skirt in White) with strappy black flats. I immediately have to wonder, what’s up with the saggy, braless look? Did LiLo give her some style tips? Adding a couple of long pendant necklaces (check out Castaway’s Bone with Anchor Emblem Pendant Necklace in Gold with an angular necklace like Christie Martin’s personalized Long Tag Necklace in 14K Gold), tortoise shell Wayfarers and a woven hippie messenger bag (if you like canvas bags, try Antoinette Lee’s more refined Stella Tote in Striped Canvas), there seemed to be two contrasting themes going on in this ‘fit and I’m not loving it. It’s not that I don’t like Kirsten’s style; I just don’t get it. There are always clashing elements to her ‘fits, and it never makes sense – like the shoes and bag: cute separately, but not together. Whatever the occasion, Kiki almost always looks sloppy and unprepared. I have to wonder why this is so – is she just clueless when it comes to style, or does she really not care what she looks like or what anyone says about her? Such a mystery! Another mystery in Kiki’s life involves whether or not she’s dating Jacob Soboroff, the director she’s been working with making a documentary about the history behind the US presidential voting rules. The two took a trip to North Dakota together on Election Day to witness the only state that doesn’t require voter registration, and were spotted having a few lunch dates recently. Earlier this week Kiki’s publicist swiftly denied rumors the two are a couple, but an “insider” has confirmed they are definitely dating. Either way, Jacob is quite the smarty pants, getting his masters from NYU in political theory and philosophy and working as a commentator for a variety of news outlets. You have to wonder what draws him to a girl like Kiki? It’s a mystery…

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 25 2008 in Los Angeles, CA. Finally pulling off a look without the sloppy effect, Kirsten Dunst actually checked herself in the mirror before heading out to a lunch date in Los Angeles on Oct 25, and it did her good! Looking casual yet polished in a plain v-neck (check out PGD’s charitable basic tee, the Morgan V Neck Tee in Clay) with dark indigo trousers (like Pierce Jeans’ Newport Perm Press Trouser in Midnight Blue) and black wedge heels, Kiki pinned her bangs to one side and carried a dainty beige purse with a chain strap (similar to Posse New York’s Catalina Bag in Tan Pearl) while shielding her face with brown bug-eye sunnies. Not the most exciting ‘fit but definitely much improved from her usual shabby threads! Why the turn around, you might be asking? Kiki strolled to her luncheon with a mystery man that is rumored to be her new beau, and I would hope the kempt appearance has to do with his presence. Though she has had a never-ending stream of romantic ties, friends say she could be settling down at last. Kiki recently dished on her past, present and future to Harper’s Bazaar: “When you spend your entire life as a child actress, being told where to go and where to stand, you’re performing constantly for people. It definitely breeds the kind of person who’s dependent on other people’s approval. If I’d trusted myself and listened to myself all the times that I ignored myself, I would have been fine. But everyone has to learn their lesson, and now I’ve got it.” Wise words to live by, no?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 16 2008 in West Hollywood, CA. Looking a little sloppy, Kiki exited a lavish store opening party for the Ten Over Six boutique in West Hollywood on Oct 16. Before I move on to the ‘fit, I must remark that it’s definitely noticeable KD had her fill of complementary champagne – and only 6 months since she left rehab! Though her Cirque stint was for depression, not drinking, you’d think they’d have told her one definitely does not help the other! Unfortunately, I’m not sure Kiki ever learns… and someone should have told her that yellow, black and booze is so not a good look for her. Starting with a chic black knee length dress (check out Black Halo’s Pleated Bodice Dress in Black or Smitten’s Empire Pleated Dress in Black), black wedges (Matiko’s Sassy Wedge in Black Patent would have been a nice touch) and a black headband, the ‘fit would have been okay if she hadn’t added the questionable yellow swing jacket with a detachable cape – that should have been left in the store instead of a reattached on the way out – and the studs along the bottom are particularly problematic for me (a better fitting version like Kushcush’s Three Button Coat in Yellow would have been much better). On a positive note, the dainty metallic chain strap purse she’s carrying does soften the look (try Antoinette Lee's new Mia Bag in Gold)… if only there wasn’t so much bulky yellowness going on! At the bash, Kiki mingled with Brady Cunningham, an up-and-coming LA designer who owns the new boutique, and was all smiles for the press inside – presumably before she had a bit too much bubbly and left the soiree. Lucky for her, she did have a reason to celebrate: her career is finally getting back on track, with Spiderman 4 officially in the works and Kiki expected to continue portraying her role as Mary Jane. Another upside down kiss, anyone?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Oct 05 2008 in Paris, France. Playing the part of a casual tourist perfectly, Kirsten Dunst made her way to Paris to attend Fashion Week, making time for some sightseeing on Oct 5. Though she did look refreshingly lady-like when she attended Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 09 show with Kate Bosworth, her sightseeing ‘fit was another typical mismatched Kiki creation. You’d think being in Paris would inspire her to clean up her act! Instead, Kiki channeled the Parisian vibe with her green beret and quilted Chanel-inspired black chain strap purse (I love Julie K's more affordable Gigi Mini Bag in Pewter), adding a loose fitting cardigan (try Holly’s more tasteful Solid Cardigan in Burgundy) over a drab purple tee (Woo’s Kathy Tee in Grey Clay is a better fitting basic) taking it down a notch. Completely her look with casual trousers (like Denim of Virtue’s Kindress Trouser Flap Pocket in Clay) and pointy black boots, KD almost would have passed for a European had she left her bug-eye sunnies at home in the states. Such a shame! Besides making a rare appearance at fashion week, lately Kiki has opened up about her whirlwind childhood breaking out as an actress. From having her first kiss with Brad Pitt on the set of Interview with a Vampire to her wild partying ways as of late, KD has definitely learned her share of lessons, telling the press, “I have had to grow up very fast in the adult world of acting. I already know that if I have a child, I will never put them through this. I do have regrets. I regret I've done so much in such a short time and regret some of the decisions taken on my behalf.” Not the first time I’ve heard a celeb say they’d never let their kid get into the business at a young age. Makes you wonder, where were Kiki’s parents when she made all of these regretful decisions?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Sep 16 2008 in New York, NY. Laying low while getting comfy in her new Soho digs, Kirsten Dunst made yet another sloppy appearance in NYC on Sept 16 at the long anticipated premiere of Hounddog, starring Dakota Fanning. For all her recent talk about how at peace she is with life after rehab, the girl seriously needs to hire a stylist and be at peace with her closet! Seriously, Dakota looks more put together, and she’s like what, 12? Breaking down her look, Kiki started with a high waist black skirt with skinny suspenders (try Tricia Fix’s much classier Kara Skirt in Black, sans suspenders), tucked in an electric blue cami (Miguelina’s Francine Top in Royal Blue would work), with a long pendant necklace (check out Rachel Leigh’s Rose Pave Pendant in Gold) and a sparkly black clutch (see Julie K’s Natalie Sleek Clutch in Black Python). A little frumpy, but otherwise not so bad, until your eyes are blinded by the white ballet flats. What could possibly have possessed Kirsten to wear flats with this, and white ones at that? The skirt screams “heels!” and so do the ill-placed suspenders! Lastly, the disheveled hair and slight sheen on her face where foundation should be… oh Kiki, whatever happened to your Bring It On preppy, polished days? Taking a break from the spotlight, KD recently sat down with Harper’s Bazaar for a tell-all cover story for the October issue. Among the many things she said, by far the best is her denial of anything romantic going on between her and Justin Long: “[The rumors] are the funniest thing on planet Earth. I don’t know him from Adam. I met him once and he and his friend were kind enough to walk me home. I’ve never seen him since.” Oh, really? Was that the “once” you were ratted out being “all over him” on the way back to his hotel, or the “once” you spent the day in LA at the Sunset Junction street fair, sipping on margaritas? There may not be photographic evidence of the first rendezvous but there definitely is of the second… who’s telling the truth here?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Sep 03 2008 in Hollywood, CA. Kirsten Dunst went out for a walk with her pooch in Hollywood on September 3, looking casually cute on her way to meet friends for dinner. Kiki’s been taking it easy lately in between projects, and her style has taken a little dip as well, but I have to say I think she’s starting to redeem herself here. Wearing a super casual green t-shirt dress (check out Woo’s Gina Dress in Fiji Blue), with a mod double closure belt (like Rock Paper Scissors’ Clamshell Reversible Belt in Black/Grey), funky woven sandals (try Matiko’s Claire Flat in Whiskey), and her fav rounded black sunnies, KD carried an oversized tote bag (try the similar shape of Antoinette Lee’s Stella Tote in Royal) with an iron grip on her dog’s leash. Kiki’s latest flick, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, will premiere next month, but it seems like the title is already becoming a sort of prophecy come true for her. During filming, Kiki’s penthouse hotel room was burglarized, and now she might have to testify in court. Although one of the crooks plead guilty to stealing her $13k Marc Jacobs bag and was sentenced to 4 years in jail last week, it looks like the other thief is going to let a jury decide his fate. If the proceedings continue, Kiki will have to take the stand to affirm that all goods taken belonged to her, including her cell, 2 digital cameras, Balenciaga bag and $2,500 in cash (Yikes! Why carry so much cash, KD? I mean, NY is famous for muggings!) Sadly, even though the thieves were caught, neither of the pricey bags have been returned to Kiki yet… bet she’s anxious to see her goods home safe and sound! On top of her legal woes, rumor has it that during the filming, KD had the author of the book the film is based on kicked off the set. Toby Young recently explained to the press, “She overheard me giving the producer a ‘note’ on her performance in a particular scene. At the time, I didn’t think of it as a criticism, more as a helpful bit of advice, and the producer took it in that spirit. But Kirsten overheard this exchange and interpreted it as a complaint about her acting ability. It was after this, apparently, that she took Bob (Weide, the director) to one side and asked if I could be kept at arm’s length in future.” What do you think – was Kiki wrong to be offended, or is Toby just trying to get his 15 mins of fame?

Kirsten Dunst seen on Aug 23 2008 in Palm Springs, CA. Trying her best to look indie, Kirsten Dunst appeared at the Palm Springs International Film Society’s Shortfest on August 23 looking a lot more shabby than chic. Let’s call this a “vintage” shirt dress, although it is much more of a shirt than a dress (hope she’s wearing shorts underneath!). I say “vintage” rather than “ragged” because it does have some kind of print and cute little buttons up the front, if you overlook the raw threads hanging from the bottom and the awkward collar that may or may not have a hole in it. To properly pull off the shirt dress trend, try Smitten’s Belted T Shirt Dress in Army Green or liven things up a bit with Cake Couture’s printed Shirt Dress in Mosaic Tile, both much more polished versions that Kiki’s attempt. Don’t get me wrong, the sassy shirt dress look is easily attainable, but just make sure that a) the dress is long enough that you can raise your arms without flashing all the old geisers in Palm Springs and b) just because the shirt might be men’s doesn’t mean your footwear should be too. KD added some seriously hideous black loafers (try Matiko’s Claire Flat in Whiskey for a more feminine version) and a black messenger style bag (like Linea Pelle’s Dylan Shoulder Messenger Bag in Black), finishing her ‘fit with a simple silver ring (like Femme Metale’s Rectangle Ring in Silver) and a couple of slender bracelets. Always under scrutiny for her ever-evolving love life, KD was again spotted getting hot and heavy with Justin Long at the Sunset Junction Festival in Los Angeles before scurrying off to Palm Springs for the film festival on Saturday evening. Unlike other high maintenance celebs who hire drivers, Kiki arrived in her Prius, with her hair in a messy bun and no make-up. Then again, maybe she was wearing make-up when she left LA, and the intense desert heat melted it off her face. Whose idea was it to host the film festival in the middle of summer, anyway? KD attended the festival for the screening of her first directorial debut, writing and producing “Welcome,” a 13 minute ghost film. Kirsten said of her leap from acting to directing, “My friend Bryce (Dallas Howard) had done it, and Gwyneth Paltrow and a lot of people I really care about had done it. It was a nice platform to start my — hopefully — directing career.” Kiki wasn’t the only female celeb who made into the director’s chair – Jessica Biel and Kate Hudson also had films that made the cut. Well done, ladies!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Aug 10 2008 in Venice, CA. On a casual California Sunday, Kirsten Dunst was out doing what every 20-something loves to do: lunch with the parents! Looking slightly less putrid than usual, KD dined with her rents in Venice, CA on August 10 before trotting off on her celly, cig in hand. I have to say, what’s with the cancer sticks, Kiki? Don’t turn your teeth as yellow as your hair! Besides her bad habits, Kirsten looked cute in a black frock with Mexican-style embroidery around the ruffle collar (see Cake Couture’s Pink Tolume Wrap Dress in Black for a more flattering south-of-the-border look) and wore stacked black flats (check out Matiko’s similar gold pick, the Birdy Wedge in Gold) with a long silver pendant necklace (try Fabian y Felipe’s Abundance Medallion Necklace). Kiki carried her fav patterned tote (check out the similar shape and cool texture of the Nicole Flat Bag in Night Exotic by Julie K) and blocked out the sun with her stealth black sunnies (like JeeVice’s Divine in Black). In addition to her shopping and dining outing with mom and dad, KD was spotted at Hollywood’s Green Door club on Friday night, dancing it up with her girl friends. KD was also there a few nights earlier with her mama for the renowned jazz night that her All Good Things co-star Ryan Gosling made his DJ debut at a few weeks ago. Despite the fact that he was seen leaving the event with former flame Rachel McAdams, I was shocked to dig up reports that Kiki and Gosling had a little fling while filming their flick back in May. Could KD be moving in on Rachel’s man like she moved in on Justin Long last month? Let’s hope not – two homewrecking romances is two too many!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jul 28 2008 in New York, NY. Kirsten Dunst sported a much improved look as she meandered around Soho with a gaggle of gal pals on Monday, July 28. Note that “much improved” does not necessarily mean this look works for her! Kiki wore a playful sailor frock with fun pockets and stripes on the collar, just a bit too potato-sack looking on her tiny frame (if you like the nautical look, check out more wearable versions like Parameter’s Metallic Cargo Tunic in Ivy and Miguelina’s Melanie Dress in Marine). KD kept her look very, very simple with black ballet flats (try Matiko’s Tahira Wedge in Black for a not-so-plain version), standard black sunnies (similar to JeeVice’s Sassy in Black), and tamed the blonde mane in a basic ballerina bun. On a side note, her friends all looked cute in their summer dresses with flats and fun jewelry – not sure why they didn’t give Kirsten some tips to spice up her ensemble! Since she has finished filming All Good Things with Ryan Gosling, KD is taking some time to enjoy the intellectual side of life, adding art and politics to her agenda (let that sink in for a minute). Kiki attended 303 Gallery’s 25th anniversary gala last week, where she mingled with other celebs and artists while checking out the futuristic exhibit. The Crazy/Beautiful star is gearing up to rock the vote this fall and threw out this random factoid at the party, “It’s all about America’s agrarian roots, see? November is the end of harvest, and the Tuesday vote allowed Sabbath-observing country folk enough time to horse-and-buggy it to the polling stations before Wednesday market.” KD was explaining the documentary she is going to make this fall, advocating the idea that voting day should be a national holiday so more people can make it to the polls. Whatever gets you in the voting booth, Kiki!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jul 16 2008 in New York, NY. Kirsten Dunst was out for stroll in NYC’s Soho on July 16, looking fresh faced and ready to take on the… peroxide bottle? Looks like she’s ailing for a straightener and deep conditioning treatment, on the dubs! Kirsten’s trailer-trash-meets-urban-chic look began with a breezy white mini dress (Rails’ Lydia Mini Dress in White is a much cuter version), funky white shades (like JeeVice’s Red Hot in Ice White), and took a turn for the worse with a plaid jacket tied around her waist and retro Chuck Taylor sneaks. This is the second time this month KD has been spotted in Soho wearing plaid – leave it for the lumberjacks babe! If you’re a flannel fan, try 3J Workshop’s Canyon Country Hooded Shirt in Brown for a more refined look. Kirsten accessorized with a fun bauble ring (like Femme Metale’s Carnelian Caged Gem Ring), and enjoyed her essential coffee and cigarettes while grooving to her iPod. Apart from her trainwreck threads, things are looking up for KiKi on all fronts. After a successful stint in rehab for “depression,” Kirsten will star in the new mystery flick All Good Things with Ryan Gosling, which wrapped last month. The latest love gossip reveals KD has moved on from DJ Matt Creed and is getting cozy with Justin Long. The duo was spotted in NYC holding hands and canoodling yesterday, a mere week after Long’s split with Drew Barrymore. A source said, “They stayed out all night and Kirsten was all over him and kept leaning in to kiss him.” On another positive note: Kirsten must be relieved that the drug-dealer-thief-creeper who snatched her $13,000 Marc Jacobs handbag from her hotel room last year (with over 2g’s in cash/cards, digital cameras and iPod inside) will face up at least 4 years in prison after pleading guilty last week. Justice is served!

Kirsten Dunst seen on Jul 08 2008 in Soho, New York. The elusive Kirsten Dunst was spotted going for a stroll through Soho on July 8, giving a (not so) subtle endorsement for Obama by carrying his issue of Rolling Stone along with her. KiKi's street style for the day was cool and casual, sporting a rumpled-looking plaid shirt (check out 3J Workshop's vibrant San Simeon Shirt in Pink)with denim short-shorts (like Joe's Jeans' High Waist Trouser Shorts in Raven) and black leather wedges. Kirsten finished her outfit off with black shades (similar to JeeVice Optics' Edgy Sunglasses in Black) and an eco-friendly, over the shoulder cotton bag. Way to be green, KD! In related KiKi news, it seems that the Crazy/Beautiful actress might have nabbed herself a new man! Rumors are swirling that Dunst is dating DJ Matt Creed, the DJ at Beatrice Inn, as a source close to Kirsten says that "she has become a regular at Beatrice. She's there almost every night of the week to dance, smoke and let loose." I'm sure the fact that Matt's there DJing doesn't hurt, either! However, another friend of KiKi's says that "there is nothing romantic going on" between the two... which source to believe??

A morning jolt

Kirsten Dunst seen on Dec 28 2007 in Century City, CA. Kirsten Dunst was spotted in Century City, California on Friday, December 28 getting her morning caffeine jolt at a local Starbucks. Before the holiday, Kirsten was frequently spotted hiking at Runyon Canyon in her signature "indie exercise" look and at Whole Foods making sure to follow the celebrity favorite organic diet. Sporting her signature all black look, Dunst starts her morning off early catching up on the latest current events with her copy of The New York Times. Even in California, one must still stay warm in the crisp winter weather. Beginning her look with a pair of UGGs, the boots showed her only sign of color in this wardrobe. On top, Kirsten sported a black pea style coat (similar to Ecoganik's French Terry Detachable Hoodie Jacket in Black) paired with a scarf to ensure her warmth for the early morning breeze. Like every other Hollywood starlet (especially Lohan), Kirsten sported an all black tight on the bottom (just like Laura Dahl's Longfellows Leggings in Noir). Kirsten made sure to follow all of the latest celebrity trends with the both the tights and drinking the signature "Jennifer Aniston" water, smartwater; not her only time spotted sporting this now famous water. Dunst has been making sure she gets her daily water needs to be in tip top shape for the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise. Dunst has confirmed that she and Tobey will both be starring in the fourth installment, and that this will most likely be her last; the movie is set to hit the big screen in 2011. It is unsaid the exact number that Kirsten finally agreed for the fourth installment, but rumor has it she was offered as much as 50 million after refusing previous smaller offers. Whether or not the number is true, it can be assumed that she was given a very pretty penny to star in the fourth installment. With all this extra cash, maybe Dunst will spend some of the money on adding some dazzle and color to her outfit. Or, maybe her new "indie" look will continue and rub off on some of Hollywood's other leading ladies. Whether or not it does, you know we will be providing you with all of the ladies' latest trends.
