KICKING IT FOR KUNG FU PANDA

Making yet another surprise appearance on the red carpet, Angelina Jolie made her rounds at the DVD release party for the animated flick Kung Fu Panda at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on Nov 9. Not straying from her signature hue, Angie wore a casual black mini with long sleeves (check out Rails’ Mona Dress in Black or Qi’s Crew Underslip in Black - with leggings of course!) and sophisticated nude peeptoes, accessorizing with a simple pair of dangling gem earrings (I’m sure Angie would approve of Robyn Rhodes’ Lani Earrings in Gold or Christie Martin’s Small Sharktooth Earrings in 14K Gold) complete with natural make-up and her trademark long, loose waves. Nothing spectacular, but for a mom of six, it doesn’t get any more polished than this – and unlike other celebs who overdo it on the red carpet, her ‘fit is entirely appropriate for the event. In case you missed Kung Fu Panda in theaters, Angie plays the voice of Tigress, “the strongest and the boldest of the Kung Fu masters,” in a role that allowed her to reunite with her hilarious Shark Tale co-star Jack Black. If her kids’ opinions are anything to go by, Angie’s brood adores the flick: “I think it’s a great film, and it’s brought a lot of joy to children – and to my children, absolutely. My kids love it. They’re very very proud, they’ve got mom [Tigress] dolls.” Perhaps Angie should let her kids manage her career, full of family friendly picks like this? According to sources, it seems that Angie has already let her eldest son Maddox take over the role of personal trainer. While showing his parents and kid siblings how to play his favorite Nintendo Wii games, Maddox introduced Angie to the Let’s Pilates! game and quickly got hooked. Angie tries to make time to play with her son three times a week… great for bonding and for those toned gams!
