KEEPS GETTING BLONDER

When Christina Aguilera debuted her white platinum blonde locks with razor sharp bangs at the VMA’s last month, I thought it had to be a weave, or at least a special ‘do for the occasion. However it seems the “Genie in a Bottle” babe has reinvented her look yet again, transitioning from her glam curls-and-red-lips phase into this… 80’s rockstar phase? Christina strolled through Beverly Hills on Oct 4 with her hubby, reminding us all that it doesn’t matter if you’re black or white… although the white hair is probably not what MJ had in mind! On the fashion front, I really do like Mama-guilera’s funky tunic tank with the sketched piano graphic (to make a similar statement, check out Signorelli’s Omni Peace Tank in Black) complemented by black skinnies (like True Religion’s Disco Billy Skinny Jean in Super Vixen) and silver ballet flats. Staying true to the contrast theme, Christina rocked her white rimmed sunnies with a long silver charm necklace (like Erica Anenberg’s Junk Charm Necklace in Sterling Silver), two silver chain bracelets (try Femme Metale’s Royal Crest Bracelet in Sterling Silver) and a deep tote with side buckles (like Rough Roses’ Pamila Hobo in Black). Not the most exciting ‘fit in the world but infinitely better without the hot pink lips! So what’s the explanation behind Mama-guilera’s new style? I have a feeling it has to do with her pending greatest hits release, Keeps Getting Better, that will be sold exclusively at Target. Have you heard the new single yet? Definitely worlds away from jazz-infused Back to Basics, Christina takes it to another level by calling herself a “superbitch” in the chorus… quite a different vibe from “Ain’t No Other Man”! When asked by a reporter if her upcoming tour will be as promiscuous as shows of the past, Mama-guilera replied, “If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It's a matter of self expression to me.” Hope her hubby feels the same!
