KP looked absolutely giddy as she made her way from one retail heaven to another, hitting up Dior before designing her own custom bag at Chanel and then making her way to the swanky soiree at Guiseppe Zanotti. At the event KP was treated to the sounds of Taylor Momsen's band, The Pretty Reckless, before getting into some serious shopping. Flaunting fresh new curls while messing around after the show, KP headed to her post-concert party at the Griffin nightclub with BFF RiRi at her side. The ladies made some provocatively playful poses with Sugar Factory Couture lollipops (let your imagination run with that one) before heading to Lower East Side nightclub The Box and calling it a night at closing. I found a cheeseburger in my bath tub... U guys r INSANE. Sounds yummy! In the vid, Katie said: "You're a girl who has a dream just like myself." Thankfully, Katy's lawyers reconsidered and dropped the suit just hours before it was due to be heard in court (according to Katie Perry's Twitter updates), but Katy is keeping quiet on the issue. I can understand her qualms – if she tours in Australia, she would be prevented from advertising herself as Katy Perry lest Aussies confuse her with the designer – but seriously, what's the big deal? While there were many over the top looks at the costume gala, themed "Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion," I can't quite wrap my mind around Katy's choice of dress. Selecting a strapless Tommy Hilfiger gown with an hourglass shape and a long train (if you love the shade of blue try Smitten's A-line Turtleneck Dress in Blueberry or my personal fav, Prairie NY's Stone Cami Dress in Fountain), Katy channeled Cleopatra with the stiff gold neckline and further emphasized the Egyptian style with the jet black bob and bangs. Katy accented the brilliant turquoise dress with a large gold cuff (like CC Skye's Studio 54 Mesh Cuff), gold peep-toe Christian Louboutins and a pebble-shaped gold clutch. What would a KP ensemble be without some kind of funky purse? I think the dress is very flattering on her curvy figure, and she did take the costume idea and run with it, but I think she somehow missed the mark. It seems everyone has mixed opinions though: MTV put Katy on the Worst Dressed List for the hair, collar and overly bold color, while People landed her on the Best Dressed List for bringing out her eyes with the blue gown, "set off with bold metal jewelry."
