Katie Holmes was photographed out for a sunny stroll in NYC on September 9, chatting on her phone and sipping on her Starbucks iced beverage as she made her way around town. Outfit wise, Katie kept it casual by starting with a comfy pair of grey leggings (like Susana Monaco's Legging in Metro Grey) that she paired with a classic Levi's jacket. KH then layered a white Holmes & Yang top (like Three Dots' Sheer Cap Sleeve Drape in White) over a black Market t-shirt, and tied a striped sweater (check out Splendid's Chunky Slub Sweater in Steel) around her waist. A pair of beige booties and a red tote bag (for a great tote, try Diane von Furstenberg's Sara Tote in Love is Life) finished off Katie's ensemble. Like it or hate it, everyone? For those of you who are fans of Mrs. Cruise, you might be excited to hear that there are talks of a Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark sequel! Says Katie: "We never did discuss that, but now I’m wondering. I want to know what [director] Guillermo [del Toro]’s thinking – he’s got so many amazing ideas, so I don’t know." I haven't checked out the film, but for those of you who have - would you be interested in seeing a sequel to this scarefest?

The greatest thing about this outfit is her Levis jacket. The rest is hogwash.....including the bad hair.

The leggings look terrible, they still are not pants, and tying a shirt around the waist doesn't help. She was photographed earlier in the day without the stiped shirt tied around her waist, and I don't even want to imagine the horrifying rear view of this outfit. Everything is just wrong with this outfit. Leggings should not be worn as pants, the sweater around the waist is something that I have only seen children do, and a jean jacket is SO a decade ago.guest on Sep 14 2011 @ 12:27 AM
