Cowgirl Jessica Simpson dined with her beau, cowboy Tony Romo at Malibu’s Nobu eatery on August 10. Despite the constant rumors that plague their relationship, the duo looked happy as ever as they left the restaurant late at night. For their dinner date, JS donned an oversized black v neck tee (like Smitten’s Long Sleeve V Neck Cable Tunic in Black), super destroyed True Religions (try the Joey Super T in Wildcat Medium, you can always add more holes yourself if you like the distressed look), and carried a casual black jacket over her arm (Suzabelle’s Biella Wool Trench Coat in Black is a great pick for fall). Not one of her best looks, but Jess kept it simple with a quilted black leather handbag (similar in shape to Jenny Yuen’s Gatsby Overnighter Bag in Black), a black cuff bracelet (I’m a fan of Rachel Leigh’s Panel Bangle with Metal Squares in Jet) and a huge cross necklace – staying true to her religious roots? This week the always outspoken songstress came under fire for responding to Carrie Underwood’s splurge to Allure magazine that her ex Romo still calls her once in awhile. When asked about Carrie’s little indulgence on a Nashville radio station, Jessica said she and Romo got a good chuckle when they heard the story, and when pressed by the radio announcer as to how she knew it wasn’t true, Jess said simply, “Because I looked at his call log.” Wow, possessive much? In addition, if you’ve noticed Jessica is sporting a little pooch in her latest country ads and shows, don’t worry, it’s just her beer belly. Her Stampede Light Plus beer belly, that is. JS is the Dallas brewery’s newest spokesperson, recently saying, “I work out and take care of myself. But I also like a cold beer once in a while. That’s why I made the smart choice with a smart beer. Why is it so smart? The beer is boosted with B vitamins, folic acid, and folate - although you have to drink 4 beers to get the daily dosage of vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12… not so smart now, huh? If you think Jessica’s statement looks a little forced above, it’s probably because her publicist wrote it for her to boost sales. That’s right, if you buy Stampede beer, you contribute 15% to Jessica’s already diverse business portfolio. Drink up, ladies!
